Superb! And more amazing without a narrator. No distractions only the beautiy of the event and atmosphere sounds.

It the one thing I miss on TV -- the downhill, alpine, freestyle skiing and hockey. I like the snowboarding too.
start at 1595m finish at 825m. crazy amounts of snow coverage. Sign me up! Btw the cameraman hurtling down the piste with a hefty camera should be given the gold.
Great event shame that Lindsey couldn't make it this year to the Olympics. :(

The Universal Championship Sports Network covered almost all WC alpine races, with commentary, and open archives. You could watch the Lauberhorn in mid-August. All for $5/month. Then NBC bought it. Then came the "highlights," the raw feeds, the necessity to hook up w/a $100/month "carrier," and, at one point cancelling streaming altogether. The result: Most missed the amazing triumph of Lindsey Vonn. If there's a hell for TV network execs, I hope those in charge of NBC Sports Group wind up there.

Just for now what i have from Lindsey Vonn is " strong is the new beautiful." And what i have for her is that for the coming Olympics she would remember " confidence is the leading victory."

Combination of new tech DH skis and grabby artificial (base layer) "snow" is fast becoming a deadly concoction at these speeds.

The only thing I have issue with is the first few having ace camera footage and after 5 they just say frig it, and less camera angles. The second Swiss lady had a PERFECT run and the camera angles.

I remember watching this and the commentators commenting on Vonn’s reaction after seeing Anja’s fall. They said you could read her lips. (her reaction was “Oh my God!”), and a look of concern on her face, for obvious reasons. They go on to say that no competitor wants to see another competitor injured, no matter how big or small the rivalry may be, if any

+SweetGameplays I don't know why you laugh!!!!! Marion Rolland broke her knee when she fell during this competition. So, I hate your attitude because I'm French and Marion is a really good skier : if you don't know, she was World Champion in donwhill in Austria in 2013.

@@vibot8513 I'll be honest I chuckled at first but seeing her grabbing her leg I immediatly realized that it wasn''t funny anymore that she injured herself. It's always funny to see skiier fall right at the start as long injury isn't the reason. I'm from Slovenia and I remembere that I laughd so hard couple of years back when Slovenian siier, forgot his name, went out after ther first gate in slalom.
