The Edogawa Ward Fireworks Festival has been held since 1976 and boasts one of the largest fireworks displays in the country, with a total of approximately 14,000 fireworks. Soke Fireworks Kagiya Co., Ltd. (Higashikomatsugawa 2-chome), a long-established company that has been in business for over 360 years since the Edo period, has been in charge of the launch from the first time. The event attracts many spectators every year, as it allows you to watch the powerful fireworks set off on the spacious riverbed up close without any obstructions.
This year's event will have a total of approximately 14,000 fireworks, making it a spectacular display of fireworks, and will consist of a total of seven programs. The event starts with Edogawa's specialty, ``Kodo - Festival no Hajimari'', which is an impressive performance in which 1,000 fireworks are released in just 5 seconds. Brightly colored fireworks and one of the largest size 8 fireworks in Tokyo will mark the start of the event. At 50 meters high and 280 meters long, one of Japan's largest fireworks in the shape of Mt. Fuji, ``Japanese Fireworks - Dancing to Fuji'' features ``Japanese fireworks'' made using traditional methods and ``Fuji's large gimmick''. are fused together to move the hearts of those who see it. This year's highlight is "RED×GOLD -Endless Battle-". Under precise computer control, red and gold fireworks fly violently across the night sky.
