This performance is fantastic, I the first time I seen this play in organ..... a master... how can a human can composed such a great music! and some one performed this with such a great virtuosity....I love this piece is a great composition by a genius Prokofiev!.....

I think it's because I get a sense of complete mastery here: incredible vivacity, speed, and energy delivered with a minimum of physical movement and an utterly calm demeanour. Chapeau, Vincent!

Cette brillante transcription pour orgue de Jean Guillou semble inaccessible par sa difficulté même pour des organistes de grand talent! Pour Vous cet exercice semble si abordable! Bravo Vincent!
L'interprétation transcende la pièce qui est, en soi, une prouesse du compositeur. La virtuosité, à ce niveau, semble se jouer des innombrables difficultés de l'écriture. Quelle splendeur. Merci à Vincent Dubois.

Very very well done! I was amazed by hearing and watching this performance of Prokofiev's toccata it is extremely wonderful. Vincent Dubois is a great master of organ and I adore his rendition of this extremely difficult masterpiece.
The Timing, the precision, and yet the ease with which he is playing, is remarkable. The finale, especially the powerfull final accord, makes me goosebumps every time I hear it. I'll click on Repeat now, ok?-)

j'ai entendu pour la premiere fois cette transcription de Jean Guillou par Jean Guillou qui en est d'ailleurs l'auteur....j'ai ete choque par la virtuosite de Guillou qui devait avoir 30 ans a l'epoque de l'enregistrement au sommet de sa forme ...tres bonne interpretation de Vincent continuez !!!

it's the famous transcription of Maestro Jean GUILLOU. Vinçent DUBOIS is great, this toccata op 11 from Prokofiev is very difficult to play at organ. A real performance!
The piano original is even harder. Probably the only time Guillou took a piano original and made it easier on the organ (look at his arrangement of the Mussorgsky "Pictures" to see what I mean). .
@@mtamburini what are you on about ....... many tracker organs can play music of a fast tempo more than adequately and with electronic connections that most have been upgraded to its absolutely no problem
@@mtamburini the tuning of the pipe has zero influence on its ability to sound quickly - that’s to do with wind pressure supply - it will simply sound out of tune but quickly out of tune
A fantastic, splendid performance. Vincent has the technical ability of Cameron Carpenter coupled with the musicality of Thomas Murray. This piece of music isn't my favorite in any way shape or form, BUT, it was played SO well, that I didn't care. In fact, it sounds much better on the organ than on the pianoforte. Thank you for the video.
As much as I love everything about this performance, I must add that this extreme tempo can only work in this idealised situation where the organ is very close-miked. In a live performance, the audience would have no chance of discerning the details. This is by no means a criticism, however. Recordings, as they have become, are idealised representations of music.
I am not astonished that Vincent Dubois became one of the organists of Notre-Dame de Paris ! What a performance !!!
