    Nice! I wished you showed how and where you ran the wires that connect to the battery.

      Hey thanks vr812. I will do another video on that. It was very cold at the time of the install so it was hard to do the video recording while installing at the same time. As mentioned, I will rewire and relocate the switch so that will be a part of the next video. Unfortunately, it's now winter with sub-zero temps so this project will have to wait til the early spring. =( stay tuned and thanks for tuning in!

    As a new 2023 TRD Off Road owner I stumbled across your channel looking for Billie Bar reviews. Great video by the way. Checked out your other videos and realized I pretty much want to do everything you are doing to your truck. Very similar tastes with your mods. Immediately subbed. Can't wait to see your next mod.

      Hi Jim, congratulations on your new truck and I appreciate you for subscribing! I do have more mods/installs lined up but I tend to slow down during winter time for obvious reasons but please check my channel out from time to time. Will be posting something that you might be interested in within a week or so so stay tuned! thanks again and happy trucking! =)

    What lower led strip are you using below your tailgate that light up while when backing up? That looked really nice!

    I just got these lights and super excited to use them. I’m having trouble trying to hide the wires as best as possible without punching a bunch of holes in my 2019 Tacoma. Looking forward for your response!

      Hey TheInsanePker, i wouldn't drill holes (ouch). I used Zip Tie Adhesive-Backed Mounts available on Amazon. Thanks for tuning in and I hope to see you again!

    Hello friend...how many watts?

    • @modXELA
      @modXELA  2 месяца назад

      Hey there... unfortunately, this is not specified on either the product website or on the actual product packaging. My best guess based on the lumens (3600), it will be between 12-15 watts per LED strip. This comes in 3 strips but I decided to only install 2 strips. I hope this helps my friend and thanks for supporting my channel.

      @@teabee44 one thing that I ended up doing is I installed the switch in the back of the bed close to the driver side tail light. Works well for me. Anyway good luck with your install and thanks for tuning in and supporting my channel!

      @@modXELA you're welcome, I was thinking about deleting the switch and locate the relay under the rear seat so my power from the bat will be as short as possible. My bed is lined with line-x so I'm guessing I'll have to mount it with hangers as I doubt the tape will stick long term, and we've been in the triple digits and I'm sure the adhesive isn't going to do too well by the end of summer.

  • @epaul1967

    Is the anyway to tap into the 120v plug in the bed instead of going to the battery?

    • @modXELA
      @modXELA  Год назад +1

      That's a good thought and I'm sure there's a way but my guess is you will have to tap into it before the inverter and I would imagine that it's located somewhere in the engine bay area so no advantage as far as I can imagine.

    Is this street legal

      I can't see why it wouldn't be. The lights are inside the bed, you can't see it when you're driving.
