Impressive. I'm warmed over DA2 over the years. I still don't like harder difficulties because I don't like how combat encounters are designed. But there's a lot of really great stuff in Dragon Age 2. I think it has the series' best talent trees. Hawke is an excellent protagonist and has great voice acting (and I like how he/she devolops a tone over time, so if you are a 'humorous Hawke', your diplomatic/aggressive responses will be tinged with playfulness and likewise for other combinations). The 'out of mana' exclamations remind me of my Dota-playing days.
I think dragon age 2 has the best story in the whole series focusing on the trials and tribulations of one city over a span of years as opposed to these epic good vs evil world spanning conflicts was an excellent choice it really allowed them to focus on the setting, politics and, characters in a way that we dont really see in the other dragon age games The choice of timescale was excellent too because it really allowed them to show character development when characters in dragon age games have been otherwise mostly static I also think it has some of the best characters in the series both in terms of companions and npcs Anders, Varric, Isabella, carver, Merideth and, The Arishok are all miles better than any characters in the other 2 games except maybe Solas and Morrigan all that said it's skill tree is not the best at all lol I've never heard anyone say that before in terms of build variety, customizability, depth and, wow factor its just a straight downgrade from dragon age origins in every way not to mention that you can no longer allocate stat points which takes away a layer of character building and customization in origins depending on stat allocation two characters with exactly the same skills could end up feeling and playing pretty differently.
my hat to you, i gave up nightmare reaching the deep roads, i could not pass the ancient wraith, and i did not end the guard pretenders, too hard for me.

I hate they never fiexed the "no mana" bug when you are using blood magic, is so annoying, btw, Hawke is my fav dragon age protagonist.
It’s very annoying.. lol And Hawke is my favorite protagonist too! His|/Her life is such a tragedy.. 😢

@@nerdmom5338 "NEED MANA" "I CAN'T KEEP THIS UP" 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 My Hawke are all males and Anders was my favourite rommance option. I know Isabella is the canon option but who cares xD I love sassy Isabella don't get me wrong, but I always ley her in the friend zone xD And all my protagonist (in any RPG) is always a Mage.
@ wait, what?? Is Isabella the canon romance? I didn’t know that.. lol I haven’t romanced with Isabella. I always romance with merrill 😁 I love mage classes in da series. They are so powerful and you can even make them tanky! My canon Hawke is a duel welding rogue though hehe 😁 Mage Hawkes for Anders or Fenris 😉 More drama!

@@nerdmom5338 My big problem with mages is DAI, In Origins and DA2 you can create a powerful mage and they have a lot of spells, but in DAI all the magic looks the same: Ice fail I mean wall (it's a garbage spell that doesn't do any damage) fire wall, cold mine, fire mine, no healing spells, no buffs (like creation) or debuffs (like entropy) and almost all the spells are just crowd control instead of damage. I just hope for DA4 they bring back all the schools of magic for more variation and please BLOOD MAGIC, it was insane to no have it in DAI.

@@nerdmom5338 Also DA2 is my fav because it had really good writing, Hawke, Aveline, Merril, Anders and Varric are very good characters. Even Meredith is an enjoyable villain it's even more epic than Corypheous from DAI, I know DA2 has its flaws but it was a great game and I hope DA4 bring back Hawke and his companions, I wanto to play again with my Hawke, with Anders, Aveline. DA4 should bring back every character who is alive in your world.
April 15, 2022----Thanks for the video as this is the first blood mage battle I've seen. I always played mage or rogue. Anyone ever go the route of giving Isabella to the Arishok and if so, what happened?
I've done it, because I personally disliked Isabella She'll spit and swear at you as the qunari take her away. The Arishok will be grateful, but before leaving he will warn everybody present that the Qunari will return one day before he leaves. You're anointed champion afterwards as normal. Iirc Isabella at some point escapes qunari custody, but she's never heard from again
@@obliviochamp5986 If you do this then you don't get Isabela's Act 3 quest, meaning you don't find the Ambrosia crafting resource and can't make the Elixir of Heroism which lets everyone gain 1 level. So even if you don't like Isabela, it's worth it to not give her to the Arishok just for that.
Lets put on a Show! "Proceeds to run circles, crying like a little girl for mana, the entire time"
" I'M EXHAUSTED " " I CAN'T KEEP THIS UP! "
The repetitive dialogue was irritating

It's kind of funny to me how Hawke is whooping ass but at the same time he keeps saying: I CAN'T KEEP THIS UP I'M EXHAUSTED!!!
He's being sarcastic what do you expect
Arishok: THIS is why sarrebas have their tongues cut out!
Lol shut up hawke you don’t need mana

I’d hope you could turn off the “need mana” crap. Annoying as hell. Would rather have a visual indicator.
Yes, I love the voice actors in DA2 - mage, male Hawke (not mean, angry Hawke) Fenris, and the Arishok are favs.

How do I replay the story and unlock all abilities?
Don't think you can. The emperium dlc has a potion that lets you re-assign every point of attribute or skill though
The qunaris are hot
Especially the woman
Especially there BIG WOOMANS
and here i thought entropy is just useless damageless spesialization

I'll admit nightmare difficulty is BS in this game so far the only dragon age i can't nightmare on
