Ahh New York City. Beautiful, loud, busy, ignorant people, and so on etc... etc... Everytime I go to NY, I tell myself, never again, but after sometime, I really miss it. This place grows on you like nothing else! Honestly a spectacular city!!

I was at the Port Authority day after Christmas. I use it all the time when going to the city. I caught a guy playing piano on the balcony one time. The only time I am on the lower level is to use the subway. The Port Authority has gotten better from the 80s where there used to be a million homeless people around. Now you don't see as many and you have more police and military presence there. My dad worked for the Port Authority for nearly 37 years and he became supervisor before retiring. It would have been really funny if you were there the day after Christmas. You would have caught my sister and I....lmao (I saw you pass my gate here)!! The Port Authority does close at 12:55am (1am). It's not 24/7 like Penn Station, so people should keep that in mind as well. Great video. Happy Holidays. 🙂

Today it looks soo clean, first time i was there used to be full of beggers (1993)homeless and drug adicts, any way i always liked it, soo full of live, New York rich or Poor you can feel its energy, and the steame smeel of hot coffe donnuts and my youth passed away!!😍😍😍
The last time I was at the PABT was in 1997, it didn't look anything like this- there were a lot of homeless people, sketchy characters, it was kind of on the grimy side back then. Now it looks so clean and beautiful inside. At first look, I thought it was a shopping mall.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I don’t think there are public bicycle parking spaces in the terminal.
Beautiful, big and clean. But where were the buses?
They are at the bus gates. I didn’t want to go since it is usually prohibited to be there unless you have a bus ticket.

Why are bike lanes facing the traffic instead of having the traffic facing your back?
The bike lane is going in the same direction as the travel lanes here. Don’t know where you’re seeing it.
Have seen it in other videos
NY law says if you ride a bike in the road you have to go with the flow of traffic, including direction.

Possibly. There are frequently people with mental issues or those that are less fortunate who hang around in the bus terminal throughout the day.
