This song helped bring me back to God. I was in an abusive relationship, but I’d endure anything to know my partner loved me. I so strongly felt the condemnation of God. I didn't really enjoy The Showman as much as others, but this song truly remained in my memory. Especially near the end when she sings it with heartbreak - not being enough for the man she thought loved her. 😭😭 I know she was the mistress but the pain in her voice was awful. I really felt for her
