This recording combines two radio interviews in which Ayn Rand responds to questions from university students about the role of the press in a free society. Rand touches on a variety of topics including the role of objectivity in news reporting, the importance of freedom of the press, the immorality of laws requiring “equal time” for opponents of broadcaster’s editorial policy, why media coverage of the Vietnam War was poor, why a free press is crucial for fair and public trials, and why government licensing of TV and radio stations is a form of censorship.

The greatest sacrifice (and most courageous act) a woman can make, Ayn Rand did not. That is to have a child and to be a mother.... She was the most selfish person on earth and without other people that she hated to buy her inventions, she would have failed completely....
Ayn Rand would HATE Fox News, especially Tucker Carlson.
She might hate Fox News, but I don't think she would hate Tucker Carlson. He is a commentator and his show is an opinion show, clearly labelled as such. I would expect her to be more unhappy with news anchors that inject their opinion.

@Skip White She didn't like Reagan and she would have hated Trump. I'm sorry, she would say a pox on both your houses. The Republicans are so far off the reservation and the Democrats as well, she wouldn't support EITHER. I don't have a link, but there is a video where she talks about two men who go to college. One is popular one is studious. The popular one (Trump) winds up rich, but produces nothing, just a leech. The other not so popular winds up producing. Thats her man.
