What if someone has already hidden his pre existing disease in policy and its 3-4 years running? Someone did not disclose PED as he was guided that PED will be taken care of automatically after the waiting period so its not important to disclose. What should one do now to disclose his PED to insurer??? PED was detected 6 years ago and policy was taken 3 years ago. Wont his policy be terminated? Or will company reconsider it ?
Thank you so much for your question! Let’s go through this point-by-point. Let’s revise that any condition, ailment, injury, or illness that was diagnosed or for which a doctor's recommendation or treatment was obtained prior to the health insurance policy's issuance is considered a pre-existing disease. It is essential to disclose this information to the insurance company when applying for the policy. Failure to disclose such pre-existing conditions may grant the insurance company the right to reject claims and cancel the policy due to non-disclosure. what if i change/port my insurance company before completing 8 year ? 8 year will count from the date i purchase policy from 1st company or from the date i port and started paying premium to 2nd company?
If you port your insurance policy to a different company before completing the 8-year period, the count for the 8-year moratorium period will reset from the date you start your policy with the second company. This is because when you port your policy, you effectively initiate a new policy with the new company, which involves filling out a new proposal form. Therefore, the moratorium period, which applies to policies that have been continuously maintained with the same company for 8 years, will not carry over when you switch companies.
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, the moratorium period will not apply in this case. The moratorium period is only applicable to policies that are continued with the same company.
@@amitSingh-qo7ek Thank you for putting up your query. If you migrate your insurance policy, the count for the 5-year moratorium period will reset from the date you start your policy with the new policy. Ma'am please advise, I'm requesting physical medical from the company but company are arranging only video medical, they are saying your profile is suitable for video medical, please advise which is better physical medical or video medical? For any future problem in claim settlement
@@amitSingh-qo7ek I believe this is related to pre-medical check-ups for health insurance. If the company's process involves video screening, then it is perfectly fine to proceed accordingly.
