For some reason, I thought P86 was done. No idea they simply decided to completely reinvent themselves! It's a great tune... I just need to get used to the switch from Nu-metal to ... something along the lines of deathcore? (No cleans, so it's not metalcore, but he doesn't have the flatout growl either...)

Yeah, it's a very different sound from the P86 I grew up with... I was a pretty consistent listener from Songs To Burn Your Bridges (and previous discography of course) all the way to Wait For The Siren and loved how their sound still had generally the same vibe.... that vibe changed a bit with Knives To The Future and Sheep Among Wolves... and I feel like OMNI was the natural progression of where those were headed. In my opinion, the first half of Omni Pt 2 is as close as we'll probably get to the mixture of all P86s styles and they did that really tastefully 🔥 It would be soooooooo cool to have an OMNI:REPROGRAMED albums where they took old songs like Steins Theme, Spy Hunter, My Will Be A Dead Man, etc... like one from every previous album and OMNIFIED it with a more Epic Sound and Schwabs lower screams 🔥🔥🔥

Start with Omni pt 1 as its a bit less extreme. If you go back and listen to the albums Wait for the Siren, Knives to the Future, and Sheep Among Wolves which preceed this double album, and you'll hear the transition in sound

Andrew said in many interviews he had to change his singing style as he was having issues with vocal cord damage etc. Going to this singing style has saved his vocal cords and allowed him to continue singing as it is easier to do.
