Omggg yaas!!! I would love to get more of Chloe’s personality she seems like a vibe and keke would fs make her feel comfortable enough to be freely her
Crazy enough; I was watching two separate videos of both of these ladies and I said to myself, “I would love to see a video of Coco and Keke together.”. This is what I needed 🥰
Not me crying with momma Sharon!?! 😢 she’s so like my moms. I’m a 39 year old whose always had a good job and an education, gets to travel, all of that. I said all of that to say I move a year and a half ago to peruse something else and since my move I’ve have been struggling. When I got my first job (min wage and part time) the first thing my moms said was… I’m so proud of you. That meant so much to me.
No matter what stage you are in life, be content, because it can change at any moment. Don't be moved by societal views and pressures, trust that where you are is where you ought to be. This was such a provoking conversation between Momma Sharon and Keke ❤ Y'all never disappoint!
This conversation you’re having with Ms. Sharon about the pressure on the shoulders of men today and how it has affected both men and women is so beautiful. Thank y’all for sharing that raw moment!💕
My whole life, I could relate to the two of you. I thought I was going to be a superstar. I remember practicing my signature in 4th grade lol. I had it DOWN! Now here I am, a stay at home mother, a wife and a birth doula. Now I have my own little family(audience) to perform in front of. Lol which now that I’m older, I understand the value of being in the comfort of my own home. I mourn my dream of singing/acting/modeling/dancing(a true Disney girl) lol, but so happy where I’m at. And I’m truly living my dream now, just in a different way 😭💓 Please keep making these videos. I remember when you used to drop some great gems on your Snapchat in 2015/2016. And I’m glad I get to still get the gems through your podcast. It’s soooo hard to find likeminded friends. So I’m grateful for your journey and the things you put out there!
I clicked for the KeKe and CoCo combo, but was crying in the first 15 minutes after the convo with you and your mom! Such a beautiful conversation that many parents should have and hear ♥
Every time Sharon cry I be tryna hold back my tears, she even got Keke tearing up a bit. The way guys are pressured to be “providers” or just some super boss is very bad and it’s the reason so many of them rebel and sell drugs or whatever to get that big money. Not knowing what you want to do in life is very normal we’re all figuring it out but there’s definitely an added pressure on guys. Loved that convo.
I really enjoy Sharon and Keke conversation because I think the reason some people dont know what they want to do is because that same society isn't really building us up to explore our interests so it kind of a shocker when people judge others for not knowing what they want to do but no the society that builds those people who are still unsure. Being alive and getting by is a blessing and that itself should be celebrated, everyone journey is different and everyone walks at different paces so we should expect everyone to be on the same path.
It moved me so much to see a mom supports the way Keke‘s mom supports them all specifically around 10 minutes and 30 seconds of this video. She gets emotional about how society has these stigma about success and as a son who I feel as though my mom showed tough love and supported meat the same time, I did not feel respected by her and hearing the way Keke mom respects her son and he just trying to figure things out is heart warming, and I think hit something on the nail with that point being said that we should support and respect people in our community.
I’m 44 mom of 3, and my girls will △⃒⃘lways make me proud and also be welcome at home if they need support. They’re 25, 20, and 14 and I just want to make life easier for them however I can. We don’t have a lot, but we can pay our bills, and these babies are a blessing. One day they’ll find their way, and as long as they’re happy I couldn’t care less what their job choice is (as long as it’s legal and safe 😂). Love that your mother feels the same about all of you kids. Also, I could listen to these young ladies all day, what a great conversation and message for others coming up!
Ugh I know you're gonna get sick of hearing this but I need y'all in a project together IMMEDIATELY. I'll take whatever we can get bc this chemistry test of an interview is off the charts! 💜
Felt that when Keke’s mom was crying for her son. The pressure society brings on people is not right! There’s nothing wrong with her son and when he finds out what he’s called to do it will be right on time!
Watching these two beautiful, multifaceted, black women just be, is incredible. I also wanted to point out, Keke and Coco are consistently introverted sometimes I feel to make the people around them comfortable watching them engage one another and simply exist is so nice!
I’m basically Keke’s brother in this earlier conversation and the youngest. My older siblings are a version of successful, went to university and everything. My sister lives in Japan and is teaching over there yet her mental health is not well. My brother has a great job and is well liked by all family members. Then there’s me, the reserved one who went to community college got laid off from a crappy retail job and now is a instashopper just to keep some type of income in my pocket-not knowing which direction to go where there’s constant people in your ear trying to compare you to your sibs lol. I’m just trying to live why are you trying to shape me to be like someone else when each of us are so different?
You'll find it. Just keep going. I JUST got my highest paying job a little over a year ago. Before then, I was near eviction. Like, had already gone to court for the eviction near..lol & now, I'm comfortable & have a small shopping problem. Just cast your net wide. Even if it's a job you don't have experience in, but want to learn, apply for it anyway. You never know what decision may be the turning point, just never give up & don't worry about what everyone else has because everything that glistens isn't gold.
@@AJayB89 Congrats on the job! Thanks for sharing and may you have infinite success. It’s been a bumpy road but I know things take time yet I’ll try to keep facing the sun.
Awww Sharon I know how you feel. I have a daughter who went to college and one who didn't and they are both good people and do right by others and that is what matters most at the end of the day.
7:00 supporting your child and trusting the instincts that they have garnered based on the foundation that you have established as their parents is huge! I love their talks and they’re dynamic so much. They respect and love each other so much and I love it.
when let it shine came out i wanted to be like coco so bad 😂 i remember when that tweet went viral and i got hooked on her all over again. love yall both down!!
I felt that conversation with Keke and her mother. Especially the topic about with not everyone being the same and their timing to society's "view" on what a individual's life should look like to happy, the whole patriarchy of it. Like for a a long time, I am the oldest of 4 children, and always felt that I had to do the best and succeed in life to not only be the good example for my siblings for someone to look up to but also make my parents, grandparents and all proud. That can be a lot of pressure to live up to sometimes. Also when it comes to viewing or comparing how one's life is at a certain age to their parent's life was going for them at the time can be a lot. Though my siblings and I are already adults, societies view on success to making it, my younger siblings have been doing much better for themselves than me. Pertaining to money, career or just knowing what they want to do with their lives. Even though my parents say they just want their children to be happy, it's hard not to feel like there still isn't certain expectations to live up to. I haven't been able to grasp any of that for myself yet. The timing and pressure towards happiness that get put on us or that we put on ourselves is not same the for everyone. It took me a long time to get to a point of being content with myself for any aspect of my life with what I may and may not be doing. I'm still trying for my family to make them proud, yes. I just love Keke's mother and Coco Jones, they are both so real. So happy to see Coco and Keke together. I so feel Keke on the expectation of men and women, and I don't want to go to Brazil with anyone I've only known for two days...that's foolish and scary.
I loved everything about this interview. Coco, I love you more and more and more!!!!! Everything you said was so real and authentic. You have no idea how you have pulled on my heartstrings and helped me feel understood sis. The authenticity, the raw openness. Everything gave what it needed to give. Thank you. 😍
