I had a moment on a school field trip in high school. The finance classes were going on a 3 DAY trip to new york. I was the only one from my school who signed up, so we went wirh another school. I didn't know anybody and they had a special needs kid who the other schools teacher left me in charge of. On the last day there was a dance party on a yacht with a DJ who played this and everybody could relate but me lol. I guess that's why this song always makes me a little sad, but then i remember Home Alone and James and the Giant Peach and kind of have to realize that ANY place is what you make of it. @@weedandwater Ah that's pretty cool actually. Didn't realise how blocky NY was so I guess it works well depending on the city layout. Where I live (Lisbon) there's no point in that system so you either have to know where you're going already or use Google/Apple maps. I honestly don't even use street names 😂
@@randam1005The NYC grid layout is famous and still applauded by city planners & architects. The guy who designed it did so with intentions of making easy for pedestrians. You could completely illiterate or not speak English and move around just fine.

I had a moment on a school field trip in high school. The finance classes were going on a 3 DAY trip to new york. I was the only one from my school who signed up, so we went wirh another school. I didn't know anybody and they had a special needs kid who the other schools teacher left me in charge of. On the last day there was a dance party on a yacht with a DJ who played this and everybody could relate but me lol. I guess that's why this song always makes me a little sad, but then i remember Home Alone and James and the Giant Peach and kind of have to realize that ANY place is what you make of it. I can't wait to go back!
