whatever happend and lead up to the moment of 5:25 will be with me forever. Its one of the strongest and most impactful emotional moments of music for me forever. Marit Gjeset 10/10
I think every child born in Sweden knows of this music, and also how it's supposed to be sung; with raw power, on the verge of screaming. Just like you did. Goosebumps all over from this. Thank you!
Children born in Sweden today knows raw power is oppressive patriarchy and traditional Swedish music is racist towards the new Swedes. Thank the gods we still have Norway.
Even children - now adults - in Czechia and Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia) know this beautiful film and its songs! During the 80's "Ronja" has found its way behind the Iron Curtain into Communist countries of Central Europe. I remember when I saw it in my childhood years (of course, dubbed in Czech)...
I loved both book and film as a child but was never scared though I was indeed an anxious child. And I love both also as an adult, it was a very important story for me having a father who couldn't show his feelings and never really said he loved me and didn't let me grow and develop. Nowadays I'm a Ronja, too, roaming the woods and lowland forests of my hometown, loving to be within nature and to be there by myself. Oh, and this great, powerful music! 😍 It plucks my heartstrings and leaves me crying.
I‘am a 37 year old men with two little kids and a beautiful wife, a house, a job and everything, what I should be. But every time I see this, I am 8 year old again and crying like no good because it’s that wonderful. Thank you for this feeling. Every time. ❤️
Ronja Räubertochter is known in Germany just as well as in Sweden ;) Every child knows the book and the movie and wants to dance and scream when spring has arrived ;)
It was the first Movie my older Sister saw in the Cinema in her life, she went there with our Parents and our Parents cried when Ronja in the Movie met her Father again after she left and he screamed: "I've got my Child back!" and my Sister asked my Parents : "Why do you Guys cry, it's a nice part!" Astrid Lindgren Books and Movies are a big Part of my Childhood and Ronja was one of my favourite Astrid Lindgren Movies. I'm German too and you are right, Astrid Lindgren was known in Germany as much as in Sweden
Not only Swedish kids, FINNS too! These songs are forever carved into my mind since childhood.... Great book, great movie, melodies greater than life which carry on the Nordic spirit of the old age. Our great great great grand children will sing these and wonder how did their forebears come up with something like this and its "only" music written for a movie..... Do I need to mention that I'm a musician and a Finn. And do I need to say I love my Scandinavian brothers and sisters. IF we die out, let our songs live forever.
This is an awesome performance! I'm a huge Ronja Fan since my childhood and I love the songs in swedish as in german. Everytime when the choir begins with the wolf song I get a shiver. And I totally love the conductor's energy! Make it a real pleasure to watch the video. :)
I love this music and the movie it's from with my whole being and I'm insanely grateful my parents named me after Ronja, these songs were the first I learned to sing as a child and I've been trying to convince my family to sing it with me ever since.
This is pure magic! Ronja has been my number one favourite kids show since I first saw it and they really captured the beauty and spirit from the show in this performance. Thank you for making this happen. Tack Norge...otroligt vackert! :D
Händel by zajásal. Zdravím celá šťastná z Rakovnicka, Česká republika!!!
This.... is.... AWESOME! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I cried! So beautiful. And the conductor is total badass! Ronja's score has touched me when i watched it as a kid and it is touching me now.
All the songs from "Ronja Rövardotter" should be Nordens party anthems :D We can sing them together in the woods (Danmark can join aswell even tho they don't have big forests) hehe
+TheMagniization great , then you bring the snacks and the rest brings the drinks ..time to make a scandinavian version of october feast ? haveing material from a writter both adults and kids can cherrish should make for a good base for a yearly party anyway
Even in Germany the Movie Ronja Rövardotter is known ! One of my favorit Movie´s from my Childhood back when the world was not that crazy ! Gj there this was fucking awesome ! I can see the power in this Studentersangforening and there voices!
NYDELIG!!!
There will never be a performance of this music that will be better than this one! Sorry bit this is just sooo on point!!! 😭 ronja was my childhood! My best friend and I used to jump over everything pretending we were birk and ronja! Loved it! Greetings from switzerland!
3:46 My friends and mine knew that part of the German version of the movie which was screened on German TV somewhere in the 1980's. Imagine a bunch of 6yo kids who did not understand a word but, who did not hit a single tone correctly, but nevertheless clashed this song through the neighbourhood - all day. Our parents must have been masters of patience :D This video brought a warm splash of memory to me, and some goosebumps. Thank you so much, guys :)
I am from Italy and ronja was my childhood because my Italian teacher used to read us the book And then, at the end of the elementary school, we acted the whole book, and I was a narrator ahahahah But a friend of mine was Ronja and she had to kiss Birk
I started crying at 4:07 because it sounded so elvish and reminded me of standing beneath my favourite Icelandic waterfall singing this exact part. Thank you, that was wonderful! :')
The last song gave me goosebumps. I love when the deep voices meet the high voices. Wauw. As danish I grew up with Ronja Røverdatter, Brødrerne Løvehjerte etc, Love the voices and songs. As we say in danish: De er nogle ørehængere.
We have uploaded a new recording of Ronja Rövardotter with better sound and sublime scenery. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/d-6lDNMjHTk/видео.html
I watched it... It's to clean... the charme of live voices is missing.
Its not as musically as this version!

Haha, far from it with the immigrants and just younger people.
Thumbs up from Germany. Ronja was an important tale of my childhood. Both inspiring and frightening!
Genau so!
Yes same, I also thought it was mesmerizing but scary as a kid

It's never wrong for a man to cry.
Another Swede in same age, and and im crying too! I dont even know why! Its just so powerful. A heritage to be proud of as a Swede!
I don’t know why, but it really does. Even 10 years later.
Why add beautiful... are you scared she gonna read it🤣
That's what "The Stories of Old" do for you. ❤
Ronja The Robber's Daughter is very much loved in The Netherlands. This performance is the best, sung with so much power!

Helt fantastisk bra tolkning!. jag fick rysningar!
My parents met through this book. Ma father sang the robbers song as my lullaby. Whenever I hear this I think of my childhood. Greetings from germany
Inlevelse total! Encore!

Oh, i love this archaic way of singing... wonderful ! Thanks soooo much for this wonderful concert !!!!! Greetings from Germany
Wonderful! Nice tone to all of the voices for such a large choir. Quite interesting and complex arrangement too!
I just love this version and relisten to it again and again over the years. I like it better than the new recording. So much power! Well done!
Totally awesome conductor!
Air handcannon at the end.
Superbra!!!
Tillägg: Trondheim gör definitivt originalet rättvisa. Underbart att se.
