One of the best bands from Japan and this is a great song. Yes Mayu growls and screams in a lot of their songs but not all. They play many styles of metal and rock. Saki one of the guitarist left they band back a few weeks ago to pursue other projects and musical direction but the remaining four members are still rocking together and have a bunch of shows in Japan coming up this year. Some other songs you should try would be Adabana, Oiran Live, Revive, Dissension. Hypnosis and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I guarantee you are going to love this band and they will surprise you of all the styles they mix.
Most of their songs have some screams along with the cleans. Yep ,Happy metal lol. Mayu's cleans are a mixture of English and Japanese, the harsh are mostly English. This is their newest single, released in January with the 3rd album, Evolve. They wanted them released at the same time, so they went with the studio audio over live video. Since this dropped, and your last reaction, guitarist Saki (screen right, stage left) has decided to leave the band. They will continue as a 4 piece. From what I've heard , Mayu will play some guitar, and the solos will be more of Hazuki's guitar and Hariguchi-san's bass. Ame-te-ras is a bit different from a lot of their stuff too. For more from them, try "Dissension", "Oiran", "Seize The Fate", and "Adabana"
Nemophila (neh-moe-fee-la) is my favorite band right now. This song is somewhat unique for them...kinda like 'groovy metal' celebrating the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu. The intro is actually based more on Indian music than Japanese. Guitarist Hazuki wrote the music after seeing Bloodywood (Indian metal band) live.
