The music of my adolescence, Little Joe was the first album, I ever bought. It was 1970, when I first heard Little Joe, it made me happy and I had an uncontrollable urge to dance.

In the 70’s he would play at our high school dances. I went to a few weddings that he was performing plus some special events. It was FANTASTIC. just thinking about those days it’s awesome.

I have been listening to little Joe since I was in 9th grade. He is an amazing singer and always enjoy listening to his music. Love the film. I would surely enjoy if he had another film depicting the the music and story of " little Joe and the Latinaires."

WOW!!! My mother had his albums and she played them often. She introduced me to his music when I about twelve/thirteen. Really special Lil Joe is giving us a small glimpse of his life, feel very privileged. Thank you for your contribution to our Mexican culture, proud to be Mexican. Your music is in our blood 🫶

First time ever hearing LITTLE Joe giving a testimony. Awesome. Growing up the way he did was an experience that he will never forget. Even though i was born in 1955, my 5 brothers, as well as myself. We all picked cotton alongside our parents. My brother's and i have been following Little Joe's music since we were young. When we were working the fields, someone always had a big cassette player. The days working in the fields seem to be short because of listening to little Joe. Our utmost respect to a legendary vato. Who brought tejano music to our Hearts, Soul and Mind. We salute you Little Joe. Keep bring it. As you mention. A singer can miss notes, timing is off and so on. But the worst thing, is not having the feelings, emotion that goes with the song. Once again, we salute you little Joe. Proud to be Brown n Tejano. Greetings from GySgt Montemayor USMC Retired 77-97 Santa Rosa, Texas Pura Raza.

The Godfather of La Onda Tejana!! There is no other band who deserves this than Little Joe. He started it all along with others like Freddie Martinez, Sonny Ozuna, Royal Jesters, Carlos Guzman, nombe shut-up it was the times!! I was born in Rio Grande and also worked the fields as well when I was little. I picked watermelons, tomatoes, fruits and other vegetables. Little Joe is right, they would gather around and play and eat under the big trucks. Honored to see this man receive this award for what his music has done for the fields workers done here in South Texas. His music will live on forever even to this day it's always played. Las Nubes song is like our anthem, QUE VIVA LA ONDA TEJANA! Thanks Little Joe y La Familia for all the memories, enjoy this award you definitely deserve it. "Y que siga la musica"
