If you don't have the red switch, and you wanna get up there with a CAPE, go to the pipe on the right, get a running start, and then spin jump to send mario spiraling through the air. Let go of the "A" button to bring him down, and when he hits that patch of land under that block, he should have enough momentum for another mega spin-jump to get you up onto the vine.

i just noticed that in many mario world videos the spinjump sound when you have a feather sounds different than in my version. Is the sound (for some reason) different in for each continent?
Here's another way to do it: if you have a Yoshi of any color besides green have grab the empty blue shell, go down, launch it at the blue and orange creatures and catch it back then fold it to fly to the key.

If you're using the GBA version like me you can switch to luigi and get a yoshi, then jump off yoshi to climb onto the vine. Hope this helps😊

Its doable if you have a Yoshi, but you'll end up ditching it.

Find the Switch Palace by getting to the secret exit in Vanilla Dome 2.
There’s a part where you receive p switch, press it more at the left and you’ll get access to a key, under it is the lock you need
