    Me and my mom are roommates and she used to snore so loud that I could hear her down the hall. She recently lost 30 lbs and doesn't snore at all now. I am glad she doesn't after watching this. Thank you Rose for the informative video.

    I felt choking while sleeping and woke up after stuggle in dream. I dont snore and some say it's due to sleeping straight, usually we should sleep sideways.

    My husband and I both have sleep apnea. His is more severe than mine. I had no idea it could increase your risk of diabetes. We both hate the CPAP but I know we need it. Thanks for the info.

    I know so many people with sleep apnea. It's more prevalent than most think. I actually did an at home sleep study to test for it!

    I did not know there are 3 different kinds of sleep apnea. My husband has mild obstructive sleep apnea, and the doctor said my husband could try a CPAP but since he always sleeps on stomach, he could not sleep well with CPAP. But since his symptoms are still minor, he lives with it. I just hope it won't get worsen. Thank you for the educational info.

    Hi
    I just woke up from sleep like now...
    I choked in ma sleep ..was able to wake up and start beating on my chest ...still I was unable to burge or breathe my throat got blocked even when I woke up and stood up on my feet I couldn't breathe..i was trying to pump air through ..I felt like there was a little balloon in ma throat that needed to come out by force for me to breathe again ...I got sooo scared...i forced and forced it ...my room mates woke up and I couldn't drink water bcos it wouldn't go down....it lasted for some seconds and finally after constantly beating on my chest it opened and I drank lots of water but I still can't sleep till this time... I just searched for something on RUclips to at least know what was that, that happened bcos I got so scared like I was dying already ...if you know about what might have caused this please talk to me ...I'm so scared it might happen again... my BMI is 25.5 and I'm 25years old... thank you

    Wow! The side effects of sleep apnea are scary! I'm thinking I need to get checked because I'm sleepy almost everyday eventhough I sleep almost 7 or 8 hrs each night..as you said could be a sign. I'm also 187lbs so that might be a cause of it. Thank you for detailing ech type of sleep apnea, I had no idea about that! This video could save some lives and maybe save mine from future complications😮!

    I didn’t realize there were 3 different types of sleep apnea. Kind of crazy! Can you have intermittent sleep apnea?

    • @Dougggggggg
      @Dougggggggg 5 лет назад

      We don't label anything is intermittent sleep apnea, you have to do a sleep study test and it's pretty informative. After the test is scored a pulmonologist reads over it and takes about four different readings and make a determination of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is not something that comes and goes.

    • @Sleepopolis
      @Sleepopolis  5 лет назад

      Sleep apnea can come and go if it's caused by a medication or medical condition, and the dosage or condition changes. Sleep apnea can also improve on its own with weight loss or a consistent change in sleep position, but if all else remains equal, it will usually stay the same unless it's treated. ~ Rose
