    Great lecture but really I don't think he used much reference to schliermacher the person or his contribution to the dialectic. It's more a lecture on liberal theology

    Dr Gore: how would you explain a person who considers themselves more liberal than conservative but believes in all the miracles? Isn’t it so that liberalism and conservatism have more to do with politics and not Christianity?
    Also, would you agree with me that a Christian is a person who believes that Jesus literally rose from the dead, and that a person who does not believe that Jesus literally rose from the dead is not a Christian?

      Many theological liberals still believe in Christ's miracles, and I agree the split between conservative and liberal churches today is more political than anything.

      If you're assimilating yourself to a liberal worldview, you or your decendants will reject the miracles eventually.

      Emil Brunner is a 20th century character. We are still in the 19th century.

    Terrible lecture. I get you're a conservative but you could've at least given an objective coverage of the material.
