Prior to joining the Army as a Military Police member, Codey worked as a manager in a retail store and was seeking a career that would offer fulfilment and pride. After her initial general duties role, Codey specialised as a Dog Handler through on-the-job training and now enjoys tackling each challenge with her dog Apache by her side.
