    I was going to Email Ken on Monday to see if you ever started on the frame.
    You had to spend time with Bobby to get him "Motivated" after he was having so many rust problems, so that took up some of your time.
    I never knew that the Canadian frames were that different but after you explained the differences I understand why you are using one.
    The Warp Kit looks like it was a great investment, a real time saver after someone else made all the adjustments to make it fit as good as it does.
    The amount of bending you had to do was amazing but you did a great job on that part.
    A lot of people do not understand that you have to weld all the parts together to get the greatest strength.
    My Buddy was a Election Beam Welder and the test was to weld a a 12" thick block so I know a little about welding from him.
    Great that you Son can help, sounds like he is learning some good skills.
    The finished frame looks GREAT !!!!!!

    • @RedRocket64
      @RedRocket64  11 месяцев назад

      Yeah, had to give Bobby a little boost there, not sure why he ever second guesses him self, he’s very talented, the frame I built for the rocket was also coincidentally a Canadian frame, very happy I was able to find another one 👍
      I’m loving the frame wrap kit, definitely saved some time there! My older brother was a welder by trade, he was always stressing welding everything together making it ONE structure instead of overlapped pieces, made perfect sense ✔️ That’s one heck of a test your buddy had to go through, happy my son is around to learn, he loves cars, love having him around 👍 thanks for your continuous support Ed, we really do appreciate it 🤝

    • @edgrabski1390
      @edgrabski1390 11 месяцев назад

      How did you ever fine 2 Canadian frames ?????
      Yes Bobby just needed a little push to get him back on track, he seems like a real good worked, never says much just keeps working 🙂
      Great that your Son has interest in what you are doing, anything he learns will be with him for life.
      My Son raced Karts for 9 years so we were on the road a lot and had great fun.
      He helped do tech at National events and raced at them
      He worked Summers in College for Indy Car teams, then went full time for almost 10 years.
      When he worked Summers for small teams they never had enough people I got to work on the car, great fun for me.
      Keep up the great work, which I know you will.

    Do you worry about water getting stuck between the frame and the wrap work and causing rust/rot? If i go this route, i think i'll POR 15 the crap out of everything, then use a weld through primer on the bare spots before welding.

    • @RedRocket64
      @RedRocket64  7 месяцев назад +1

      Im not worried about that at all, the epoxy im spraying on it is water proof.
      Por 15 and weld through won’t hurt anything but is way overkill. Even if a frame is submersed is fresh water 24-7 it would take years to rot.
      My advice is to not overthink these things or you’ll never get anything done.

    • @TTGTO288
      @TTGTO288 7 месяцев назад +1

      @RedRocket64 I can respect that. I'm not a lowrider guy, but have a '63 Impala that I want to put a Duramax diesel in for big block power and V6 fuel mileage. I'm looking into ways to reinforce the frame without putting a cage in the car ... hate roll cages in street cars.

    • @RedRocket64
      @RedRocket64  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@TTGTO288 That’s one heck of a combo! Would love to see that 👍 frame wrap would definitely help in your case, I would completely box the whole thing or worry about molding it either, that will save you a bunch of time.

    • @TTGTO288
      @TTGTO288 7 месяцев назад

      @@RedRocket64 I like the molded look. Adds to the aesthetic of the car. I am also considering doing the side frame rails with extra body mounts and maybe a hoop behind the back seat.

    I bought that same kit, I don’t know if you are aware that you have to notch for the a arm, by putting the plate on the inside of the a arm mount it pulls you arm closer in to where it hit the frame, oh and you shaft , well at least mine didn’t sit flat so I had to use a flap disk to flatten the face of the mount, oh and congratulations on the 59 but that 4 was clean 😩

    Where the upper A Arms mount the top where the cylinder holes are drilled and the sides of the ears I haven’t seen many people plate and weld those in.

    • @RedRocket64
      @RedRocket64  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes sir, I wouldn’t say it’s necessary, I’ve build a few frame without them and never had any issues 👍

    Hello Bro I noticed that you didn’t weld/close in the sides and top of upper an arm frame mounting ears is it because of clearance?

    • @RedRocket64
      @RedRocket64  11 месяцев назад

      I did add metal and weld on both sides of the towers or ears that hold the upper a arms.

    It's a good amount of work and a lot of time, but I can't imagine paying someone $10,000 for something like this.. That's the price I've heard. Not sure if that means stripping the car off first or a finish like paint or sealer or whatever but that sounds like an insane amount of money to me...
