  • Pommern is a museum ship in Åland. It reopened 2019 with Pommern - 100 days under sail exhibition. My contribution is a Weather Experience show in the cargo space with sound designer Tuomas Fränti. Here are some glimpses of it. The band is O'Really!
8 Panasonic 6.500 ansi laser projectors
    17 000 rgb pixels
    2 Arkaos Pro 4K mediaservers
    pixel drive
Chamsys lightboard as the show control
    Tascam DA-6400 multitrack player
    24 invisible Feonic loudspeakers
    4 21” subwoofers
When the show is not running, the cargo space can be observed with very little visible technology obstructing the experience. The clips have been shot in various daylight conditions.
The visitor experience Pommern 100 days under sail is an original concept - a ‘near history’ experience and a journey back to the 1930s.
The visitors are taken on a round-the-world voyage during which they get to know the crew and participate in life on board. The ship’s three decks give different perspectives on the same voyage and offers various ways to explore the Pommern; by listening, by doing and by feeling.
In the cargo hold the visitors get to experience a unique audio-visual show that recreates the weather the Pommern endured during her voyage across the oceans. It also draws attention to how vulnerable the crew was in the face of Nature.
