Ragazzi, ogni tanto anche un video semplice...Aspettate Mercoledi perchè ci sarà un video molto interessante sulla costruzione di un' utensile elettrico legato al fai da te. Mi raccomando, state aggiornati. Lo potete fare con meno di 5 euro ed è super preciso e molto bello.

sarebbe possibile alimentarlo e farlo girare con un'alimentatore da pc oppure no?
Non sarebbe la soluzione migliore anche se su internet se ne vedono tanti. Sto lavorando con un driver specifico per sfruttare i motori brushless degli HDD alimentati a 12 volt con potenziometro per regolare la velocità. Alimentare un HDD direttamente una volta smontato e privato dei suoi pezzi potrebbe accendersi e spegnersi subito dopo.

Grazie Gianni, Mi viene da piangere, in realtà l' HDD era funzionante, ma 80GB non ci facevo niente ed era l' unico sacrificabile. Avrò più di 20 Hard Disk in casa e quello è stato vittima di questo esperimento :-)

ciao Daniele, un pò si tempo fa anche io ho usato un hard disk come mola da banco, ma ho notato che schizzava via parecchia limatura di ferro, abbastanza pericolosa per il corpo umano, allora ho lasciato una delle due calamite al neodinio nella sua posizione originale, e non hai idea della limatura che raccoglie, gran bel video, soprattutto per la definizione dell'immagine e la precisione con cui svolgi i progetti, si vede che ti appassioni molto, bravo

Ti ringrazio ma io penso di avere fatto un cattivo lavoro che non volevo nemmeno pubblicare. Ho fatto questa cosa perchè serviva a me: Dovevo smussare i bordi dei dischetti che ho realizzato per il mio air Hockey e ho trovato questa soluzione. Funziona perfettamente anche perchè sul tornio non si potevano fissare visto il basso spessore. Comunque ti ringrazio Seby. Sabato pomeriggio ai lavori visto il cattivo tempo :-)

No, quindi è già estate.
Però questo pomeriggio stavo iniziando un piccolo progetto e nel frattempo mentre dovevo limare un toro di legno mi è venuta questa idea l'ho pubblicata infatti è stato un video flash
L' ho visto, incredibile la coincidenza, bravissimo Seby. Io avevo girato i filmati la scorsa settimana e oggi ho finito la parte finale mancante per poi pubblicare il tutto. Pensavo un disastro mostruoso, ma va bene, non mi ha linciato nessuno :-)

Hai creato questo per la costruzione dei dischetti ?
Non per la costruzione, ma per la smussatura degli angoli visto che dopo il taglio con la sega a tazza i bordi venivano seghettati. Per il tondo, non essendo bucato, era difficile trovare il sistema per lavorarlo ed ecco nata l' idea del' Hard Disk come supporto rotante :-)
Domanda ? ... in alternativa al trapano a colonna è possibile sfruttare il motorino dell'HDD stesso ?? O pensi che al minimo contatto si potrebbe fermare ?? Comunque come sempre sei un genio assoluto .. sei il numero uno in questa categoria ... complimenti
Ti ringrazio, non è il massimo fare quello che dici, l' HDD non è stupido e sa che c'è qualcosa che non va come per esempio la testina e lofa spengere poco dopo. Sto lavorando ad una versione con driver indipendente, vedrai che figata viene fuori :-)
per farlo funzionare con un alimentatore del pc dovresti fare un ponticello sul connettore grande che va sulla scheda madre tra i due fili verdi

Wrong. As long as the electronics board on the hdd is still functional, then MOST 3.5" hdds will spin at full speed as long as power is applied. I made a mini bench sander like that a few years ago and it's still working today. I'm currently building a miniature lathe using a similar method (just mounting the hdd on its end rather than on its back). This WILL work as a neat idea to reuse otherwise useless old hard drives. Note that older drives tend to be better made, in mechanical terms, with higher torque motors than the puny modern ones, so it's a win-win, as most of the old ones, even if they are still working fine, have capacities far too small to be useful these days, so finding other uses for them is a really great way of saving them from the landfill.

Avrei preferito vederlo usare con il suo motore, altrimenti perde gran parte della sua utilità. Se non va a causa della logica guasta o della testina rimossa, puoi provare a pilotare il motore con un regolatore per motori brushless da aeromodellismo e un provaservi.

Daniele bellissimo video semplice e utile allo stile Daniele tartaglia, però mi sembra che stai un po' facendo la fine di mr. gear che invece di fare prodotti davvero competenti e originali come il miscelatore magnetico riscaldante o la ciabatta domotica stai facendo i classici video che durano poco e non sono così come i tuoi vecchi progetti
Ciao Mauro, il tuo discorso non fa una piega :-) Hai ragione, ma non posso sempre dare il massimo perchè gli argomenti poi finiscono e insieme agli argomenti finisce anche il canale. Ogni tanto devo fare video poco impegnativi come questo e che ti posso assicurare, al contrario di Mr gear che fa cretinate per ragazzini delle elementari, servono anche nel professionale. Io per esempio ho utilizzato questa tecnica per smussare i bordi di plexiglass, cosa che in altro sistema non potevo fare. Mr.gear con me non centra nulla, anche se avesse 1 miliardo di iscritti. Non so se hai visto come salda e da li si capisce la sua non profesionalità nel realizzare i suoi progetti. Se dovessero abolire la colla a caldo, il suo canale chiuderebbe. Comunque grazie per il tuo intervento

Ow that hurts me. That's such a neat little high precision stepper-motor that you are misusing as a ball bearing. Means you are abusing something worth like 10€ for something worth a penny. And because it's not designed to work as a ball bearing that poor little thing will be dead after just a couple of uses. It's pain to look at this, still you got your thumbs up, but please see if you can do something nice with that great little motor. And not burning something up worth 10€ for something worth a penny. I mean, yes, you can say, look, I cooked my coffee this morning in a stove that I heated with 500€ notes, isn't that cool?
It is not. That's not what hacking reality means, it's just wasteful beyond imagine.
Hurts. Everybody can waste potential, but the potential of that little neat thing is so much more to get from if you start to put a bit of love in it and not abuse. That poor little thing. :-(
If you happen to be poor, think about if you learned to fully use the potential of your surroundings, or if you are wasting it. To waste that neat little motor in this way is creating poverty, not riches. You can even sell that thing for 10€ and buy 100 ball bearings from it, if you can't fiddle out how to drive a four wire stepper motor, you only need an Arduino and a driver! That's really not much! You put like 6-7€ into this thing and it can be everything. It can be a high precision lathe, a 3D printer, a writing tablet, just everything. This really makes me mad. I still enjoyed it, like I enjoy a natural disaster with a hot glass of wine and some decadent grapes that are handed to me by Vestal Virgins, but hell, this is like burning Pompey, which I found quite entertaining back in the days. If that was my motor, I would be raging and most likely rip your head off. But it's not mine, so I can enjoy it. I just say, this is the way to poverty. It's ignorant to the full potential. It is evil. An entertaining evil, it's not my motor. I just see someone ruining a lot of value and getting nothing in return from it. Hell, even the aluminium of that case is worth like a nice couple of ball bearings. Ouch!

It's a bldc motor not steeper motor.
@@ramadavince6611 Is it? That's not in contradiction, well, I'm no native speaker in English, but Bürstenlose/brushless motors can be steppers and can be hybrids. It didn't look like a hybrid to me. It's a stepper. Stepper motors can run very fast, it is just a question of fast delivery of the signals and of course there are three phase motors which run also brushless, but we are talking about DC motors. See, DC motors with brushes are running over a collector which will reassign the power to the next coil in phase mechanically. You can do that from outside, if you but the magnet inside and power the coil electronically for each step.
And then there are hybrids, which will have sensors about where the motor is at the moment and will accordingly power the coils. It is more a philosophical question than a technical. Will the coil follow the signal like with a stepper or will the signal follow the coil? The thing is, that you can power a hybrid brushless motor exactly as a DC motor, with just the two powerlines. The powering of the coils will be done by sensors and circuits in the motor. This is of course more efficient than the mechanical collector/commutator on a brush motor.
In this clip the motor has four pins. So it is neither a hybrid nor a standard DC motor. And because it's a DC motor it's not a three phase one neither.
So. In short, you are wrong, but that has happened a lot with the design of motors, especially with the introduction of computer controlled circuits and it is normal and happens easily to mix that up. I always have to look up the details myself.
So no hard feelings. But the motor is a niche little thing and was totally abused.
Did you cannibalize an old hard drive yourself? If you did that, you should now remember that it's a stepper motor inside. Steppers can easily run 16k rpm and are not slower than standard motors. But they are working much more efficient. Of course if you want to run a stepper motor with a high spin, you should not control it with half steps or even go down in the fractal step even further.
But because you have full power in every speed of the coil the motor has an insane push at low rpm, much more superior than standard motors. It can also happen, that if you go too fast with your motor that your field runs to much ahead and the motor loses speed at the top speed. To see that the motor is not lagging too much behind you should apply a hall sensor at the stepper to check how fast behind you pull the mechanic and that you carefully rematch your ideal speed for your motor with the speed the motor actually can go.
If you don't do that, your stepper will lose power in high rpm. And this is the misconception most people have, you can also find this inseveral articles about motors. The stepper is the ideal motor. But you need smart electronics/algorithms to really power it well on high rpm. For hybrids this doesn't happen, it will just run as a DC motor, just brushless.
Whatever, spin motors of harddrives are not hybrid motors. They have four connectors. Hybrids usually don't have a controllable rpm, they just run as fast as they can, as fast as the applied power lets them. And they don't have the advantage of insane power in the low RPM of a stepper, for they are voltage controlled.
It is a complex field, most articles tell a wrong story about modern electric DC motors.

Use appropriate size ball bearing whatever you need Instead of HDD motor.
It will cost effective and time saving. Because ultimately it is needed to use drill or Grinder motors.
