The Osprey 700 max is one of the cheapest vacuum cleaners with a battery, wall cleaning and APP control.
Thanks to the chain drive, it can easily get straight over the step, which runs 1m around the outside and is 10cm wide to clean the edge and the waterline above. This even works with our solar cover film applied and the fact that the walls are super smooth (GRP) doesn't matter.
What I didn't know beforehand - the lines it runs in the pool (in tracks or in a star shape) can be adjusted. It whirls the corners free and the deepest corners in the pool - of course, you go to the diving station and quickly wipe it with a sponge and the vacuum cleaner takes the whirled up slobber with it next time.

Is it good with dust / sand?
Yes it’s amazing! Gets all of the calcium deposits out of our pool effectively. We live in the desert so we have lots of dust and sand. Works better than our built in vacuum that came with our pool.
There is not a single vid on YT showing a woman lifting a pool robot out of the water. Why? Because they are too darned heavy.
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND. IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS. They will take your money, "lose" the shipment, take no accountability and then refuse to pay you back.
I bought and payed for this unit, and has not left their warehouse in a month. They refuse to give me my money back because i need to received it first and reject the shipment before they can refund me...but, again, their unit has not left their premises (according to the tracking they gave me). And don't bother with customer service. They are always too busy to answer and when they do answer, it is impossible to hear / understand them, before they mysteriously hang up on you.
