If combat is your top priority- Fighter does it best. Gunslinger is looking to have the same weapon proficiency advancement though, so we'll see how that goes. I'm also really growing to love monks lately. They make crazy tanks. Enough to take on a fighter even, if you build them right,.
@@DeadlyD8 You are right. But i dislike the combat in Pf 2e, because the spellcasters are to far behind in the "to-hit" curve. And the "to-hit" curve is dominated by the fighter...
The secret is targeting enemies weaknesses. Fighters always target AC- casters can target will, fort, or reflex. It’s about using that recall knowledge to try to figure out what an enemy is weak against (or making an educated guess- big slow giant= probably low Dex saves) I think this system works, because while casters might be 2-3 points behind on their to-hit, sometimes enemies are as much as 4-6 points behind on their weakest saves, making the casters arguably even more powerful than a fighter, especially given the amount of variance they have in how they can attack.
Hi! Came here from NoNat's video! Fun collab! Really liking your style, looking forward to seeing more! One of my current characters is a Hobgoblin Fighter, and I'm planning to go with a combination of defensive and support feats, focusing mostly on tripping with my flail and demoralizing things. I'll also be going into the Marshal archetype for some of those Intimidate-related feats. Overall I'm aiming for a front line battlefield controller, with a mix of feats to give me options for mitigating damage/enemy opportunity in different situations. I absolutely love how customizable Fighters are. You can make so many different characters with this class alone.
I love that build! I haven’t had any chance at all to see how the hobgoblin ancestry plays, but it looks great. Exact same thing goes for Marshal- I think you’re going to end up being hugely versatile and your party will be thanking you for all the different little things you’ll be able to bring to the table. I think that’s one of the areas the fighter really shines in- just keeping a lot of usable options open.
This is amazing, not only well drawn but also entretaining I dont even play 2e (DM prefers 1e). But if you take feedback, leave the flashing extras like the 5e book and the "actually possible" on screen just a little longer.
Hey- that means a lot to hear! If I’m entertaining to the 1e players too, that’s awesome. And heck yeah- feedback is always welcome. I’ll keep that in mind. Gotta find that right balance of “reward people for finding the little details” and “not completely missable”.
I'm so glad you took out that awful laugh track at the logo xP also I use the fact that the fighter is kind of OP in pf2 to sell it to 5e players who resent full casters with all their hearts.
Oh, but awful was exactly what I was going for, haha ;) I'm sure it will have a million iterations to fit my whim on each day, but I will admit that I got the laugh track out of my system and that one might not make an appearance for awhile. Until I decided to do a whole video with a laugh track that is. We'll see.
We try to do a little different thing each episode- we've done more music in other videos, but this one we wanted to try focusing on color. That said, I definitely am also someone who loves having background music/noise in my videos, so I'll try to make sure to work in more soundscapes in the future. Feel free to sub if you'd like to see more!
It's a +2 when compared to trained proficiency, which is what every other martial starts out with. as such fighters get a +2 to hit when compared to all other martials
It's ok, we can still hit lucky 7's when we get to 7777 views. I don't know much about youtube, but I do know that makes all of our attacks do 7777 damage until the next battle.
Great question. I would ask NoNat- he might have better insight since he made that part. He's usually pretty active on twitter, and has a discord as well! That said, I trust his numbers- NoNat usually knows what he's talking about, and I think this example in question was something discussed by the community at one point.

This is the best and most underrated PF2e explanation video on all of RUclips! Wonderful job!
They are the best at bonking it, but the barbarian is the best at bonking stuff hard
🎼 now you’re thinking... creatively! 🎼
Shots were fired at the War Priest.
"So you wanna play a fighter, hey no shame in that"
And I took that personally.
No one can compete with fighter gang
I do hope you kept watching the rest of the video.. _nervous sweats_
Well of course! I see fighter content, I watch.
NoNat1s is trustworthy, so you got yourself a subscriber. Plus we don’t have many animators on the PF2e side of table top.
How am I just now discovering this fantastic Pathfinder 2e channel
Deadly D8 *and* NoNat1s fighter vids in the same day? Is it christmas?
I love how round and huggable you've drawn all of these fighty boys.
dd8: "Wait, did you like the video?!"
I clicked that like button as soon as I started the video man, keep up the good work!
Came here after watching NoNat’s video with you. Subscribed immediately. So much fun!
The most OP class in Pf 2e... until the power spiral arrives...

I'm really excited for someone to play a fighter in my campaign and see what was done and how it can play.

How do you hit for 70 damage at level 1? Please tell me

4:13 Okay, but how? The highest I can seem to get a fighter's damage at level 1 is 56 damage. Where's that extra 14 coming from?

Pathfinder found a way to make the fighter actually viable. 5e fighter sucks.
