I understand they can tokenize a stock price or the insurance etc. But how can an oracle let the smart contract know if your house burned down? You would still need someone (human) to actually assess this situation and then put in the data... no?

Who makes the money off the he synth coin? I’m confused on what goes where. If it’s my company stock or token project , do I create the synth stock or coin? Do I get to keep that money? Can I use those earned funds to contribute back to the company or project? Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

An oracle kinda lessens the blockchains "trustless" nature by requiring you to trust a third party. Therefore, oracles and smart contracts do not recreate insurance in a trustless way.

@@jayazhane7374 there is a reason why chainlink is pumping right now, i advise you to sell your doggy coins and etherium killers and buy some link at next dip. chainlink is a bear market coin, 2022 will be nice for link holders. i have been in chainlink since 2017.
