Great video! My road to success in brewing a lager was aerating with pure oxygen when pitching, cold temperature controlled fermentation and a MASSIVE yeast starter! I have bought so much stuff through the years but finally I can make decent lagers!

    Another brilliant video!
I am learning more information from these videos than all the other types I have watched.
    Excellent👍👍👍

Fantastic video! I fail time and time again to get a lager right...but ai think I am just not keeping it cold enough. Also, interesting to hear about how you don't want your beer being a yeast starter. That makes sense when homebrewers just direct pitch most of the time whereas a starter might encourage a cleaner beer.

How long does it take them to get the wort down to 7degrees post flame out before pitching the yeast? I think one of the biggest challengers for home brewers is the amount of time that wort is sitting without yeast when it is susceptible to infection.

Not actually sure how long it takes for them to get done to pitching temp. At home, as long as your FV Is clean and you’re careful then it will be fine to get chilled over few hours, as long as you have a good way to get it chilled after transfer that is

I'd love to try the recipe but swap out the yeast for Nova lager yeast 🍻

Sounds good, but I like the idea of using English malt and hops with the Nova lager yeast, I might work out a recipe to clone the utopia lager following your suggested mash and boil profile, but just swapping out the yeast for Nova lager !
I'm thinking of ordering some more equipment soon so I'll try to include the ingredients when I order !
Are you planning any experiments with Nova lager for the channel ?
