I like my nimbus for walking ( work for 9 hours ) not my favourite for running.. Your totally right with the stiffness !! I wish it was softer .. like the foam in the freedom’s from saucony.. So I totally agree with this review 👏
hello i am looking at theseo they run true to size? also is the midsole firm because i dont not like the new versions with soft density. they feel unstable for me with weak ankles ?
Have to agree with your comment about rocker technology. It may not be for everyone but personally I like it and buy shoes that have the rocker tech. Hoka, NB 1080 v10, and the glide ride. Good review hopefully Asics will listen.
Good honest review. I used ASICS Gel Kayano for years but for some reason as you point out they have not kept up with the technology. One of the largest shoe companies out there so very odd. Great footage on your run, very Kofuzi like but with some actual beauty! #nopulltab

Run Like Heller I hope you are right. As a big player in the industry they could make things very interesting! Just an aside, they came out with a so called super shoe a few years back called the Metarun. I bought a pair and in my opinion they felt like army tanks on my feet and I barely put 50 miles on these $400CA shoes. Lesson was learned. It will take something very special to regain my trust. Keep the reviews coming.

Wow, Monterey? U r so close! No place in the world like the Monterey Bay. Hope u got a chance to check out Santa Cruz. My fav city in CA! I don't care for most of the ASICS line because flyefoam just feels unnecessarily unforgiving. FlyteFoam Blast is a complete other world. Love the Novablast. My recollection of previous year's ASICS offering, like the cumulus and some trail shoes, was that the midsole and outsole rubber was much more supple and cushony. No, the flyefoam based models just seem kind of hard and lifeless.
Rainbow balloon!!! Haven't tried any Asics shoe but one thing does linger in my mind, what if they put the gel somewhere in the mid foot or fore foot area?
Gian Pardo I think they do actually put it in the mid foot in some other shoes but it’s inside the other foam so you can’t see it. Not sure if they did that here though

Solid review.Took me about 80km before the midsole softened for me and I started to enjoy the shoe.Solid workhorse.

They are definitely firmer than the newer models yes

@N F Asics Glide ride imho. While a weighty shoe, for me it is just a smooth well cushioned ride.
@N F I use all 3 shoes and like all 3. As you say we all have our favorites. It's really nice to have so many good shoes to choose from.

My biggest mistake I bought Asics shoes. Quality of sole is very poor. Not comfortable and price is very high.
