  • Lane Hutson will be a Superstar
    #lanehutson #hutson #montrealcanadiens #nhl
    Lane Hutson played incredible in his first 2 NHL games with the Montréal Canadiens. Hutson was able to get 2 points in these 2 games. And overall he played better than expected in my opinion. From what I saw, all of his skill and talent looked very effective at the NHL level. Hutson's playing style looked like a mix of Quinn Hughes and Adam Fox. These 2 games have for sure already made Montréal Canadiens fans very excited for next season.

    You are completly ignoring the defence part in defenceman. Even if he becomes better than makar offensively his size will never allow him to be an elite shutdown and physical D like makar can be. While I agree with a lot of your points you're basically analysing Hutson as a 4th forward.

    • @jonathandrouin8717

      Makar isn't bigger then Hutson and isn't physical. Makar is reliable because he uses good positioning and takes away pucsk with his stick.

      @@alex-dj9bx he did alot of risky plays that were liable like the OT goal in the first game. Also his positioning isn't very good. Though those are things that defensemen learn with experience. Quinn Hughes was also a liability when he came in the NHL but his defensive game has improved alot.

    • @alex-dj9bx
      @alex-dj9bx 5 месяцев назад

      @@jonathandrouin8717 Of course when you play your 1st ever game. The OT play is that he taked his chance to score the GWG, and don't forget that MTL were already eleminated for any playoffs contention. I don't think if the game haved an impact for something on the Habs, he will likely not gonna did that, but St-Louis tell him that he just need to have somes fun, and that's exactly what he did....
      Is positioning maybe need to be a little bit ajusted, but that's his style of play. I saw him twice in person with BU and he always did that. The most important thing that I wanted to see with him is his transition of his play from the NCAA to the NHL (and he did it) and is confidence with the puck (and he did it).

      @@bruh4977They passed on Mitchkov and other amazing forwards in a draft year that was stacked with offensive talent and went for a shut down defenseman what ranked 15th. Now, this year's draft is stacked with amazing defensemen but the Habs HAVE to take a forward as it is their last chance. End result: two years of less than optimal picks. BTW they should have taken Cooley, but I forgive them for this as there was no way to see between the first three picks, which one would end up the best. The Habs are simply the worst drafting organization in the league, it is so frustrating. End result will be that instead of having Mitchkov (Future hall of fame forward) and Zeev Buium (Future Hall of Fame defenceman), they will end up with a second line forward and a second pair defenceman. This, like it or not, greatly affects the team's future more than you might think.
