Will we be getting an anamorphic lens for the Osmo Pocket 3?

@FreewellGear I just purchased the lenses, what would be the correct value to desqueeze the anamorphic footage in Power Director? 0.80? And how to make it compatible in editing with footage shot using the 1.1 anamorphic lense on the Osmo Pocket 3? Any tips?

To desqueeze a 1.1x anamorphic lens in PowerDirector, follow these steps. First, import your footage into the timeline. Right-click on the video clip and select "Edit Video" to open the editing tools. Next, choose the "Aspect Ratio" option. Since your lens has a 1.1x squeeze factor, adjust the horizontal scale by 110% to correct the distortion. This process ensures that your footage will display in its proper proportions. After adjusting the aspect ratio, preview the changes to confirm the desqueeze effect is as desired. Finally, produce and export your project with the corrected aspect ratio. This method will help you achieve the cinematic look intended by your anamorphic lens.

@@FreewellGear and what would be the value to use to desqueeze the 1.19 footage? Thank you!

@@nicovds To desqueeze 1.19 anamorphic footage in PowerDirector, you need to adjust the aspect ratio to correct the squeezed image. Start by importing your footage and dragging it to the timeline. Right-click on the clip and select an option like "Set Clip Attributes" or "Modify." Look for the aspect ratio or pixel aspect ratio settings and manually set the aspect ratio to correct the squeeze. For 1.19 footage, multiply the width by 1.19 to achieve the correct aspect ratio. For instance, if your original footage is 1920x1080, adjust the width to approximately 2284.8 pixels. If exact pixel adjustments are not possible, set a custom aspect ratio, like 1.19:1. You can also create a custom profile in the "Produce" tab, setting the width to 1.19 times the original width while keeping the height unchanged. Alternatively, use a video pre-processing tool to desqueeze the footage before importing it into PowerDirector.

I just weighed my DJI 0.65x wide angle lens and it weighs 2.4g..Your Freewell version weighs 3.1g, potentially putting the Mini 4 Pro over the 250g weight limit for C0 class Drones. And it doesn't help that the Freewell ND filters cannot be used on their own, they have to be clipped over the top of either the Freewell Wide angle lens or the Freewell Anamorphic lens, increasing the weight even more. If you have a C1 class (Over 250g) Drone licence then fair enough but for most CO class Drone users want to stay legal, this rules out using the Freewell filter set.

Hey, the maker of the drone doesn't even allow you to use any ND making it a HALF-BACKED product so the ability to use the ND filters on these lenses is a milestone that no other brand has reached until now if we do not make these lenses no other brand even bother to do the same for DJI user so I'm genuinely puzzled by your complaint.
