    I have not been to RIU since the Covid pandemic, but prior to, and since 2009, I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, and always in building #6 because it houses the ocean front rooms. The Montego Bay RIU remains at top of my list of hotels where I have stayed in Jamaica - approximately 25 or so hotels over the past 35 years. I definitely plan on being there sometime this year. Thank you for sharing your video.

    Thanks for the the video! By far the best one yet!! We're also going this coming October and now really can't wait. Were there lines for the restaurants? Some of the other videos said there was always a line for the steak house. Again, a great video.

      Wow! Must be a popular time. It might have gone up in price in general, but it is a lot more expensive than the off season. We played $
      2000 for 5 nights and air fare from Baltimore this past October.

      @@woodyska85 yea I think prices shift between seasons cause I had someoneelse I know say the same, they paid about 3.5k in total for like 7 or 8 days around November that seems fair. But aye I was just saying in general but,not a big deal, you really can’t put a price on enjoying yourself and having fun so it was GREAT!

    Hello please can you clarify where you mentioned at 4mins and 5 seconds all inclusive you can also get kayaking, paddleboard, wind sailing ⛵️ and snorkeling gear as part of the all inclusive- please confirm if this is correct as part of the package? Thank you

    • @mariesoph2
      @mariesoph2 4 месяца назад +1

      It is apart of the package. I believe snorkeling is too? But Kayak, paddle boarding, and windsailing is. For windsailing you need to have experience

    Going later this year, any advice on tipping staff around the resort?

    • @woodyska85
      @woodyska85  Год назад

      Congratulations on your upcoming trip! It’s all really up to you. Every 3 or so trips up to the bar we would put down a dollar. A dollar or 2 on the table after a meal. Taxis and room cleaners a bucks.. you’ll figure it out. The one great piece of advice I can give you is to bring watch the single bills with you they don’t have the means to break big bills anywhere you go.

    My husband and I will be going here in July for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We aren't party people but my cousin who is the same went to this resort and said it was nice. Are the calmer pool area actually calm and not as crowded? Also, were the beaches overly crowded?

    • @woodyska85
      @woodyska85  Год назад

      Cheers! We were here for our 1 year anniversary too. I’m sure in October, it wasn’t quite at full capacity, but I can’t imagine it ever being too backed that you can’t find quiet seating on the beach or poolside. Let me know how it goes after you go! I’d love to hear your experience 🙂

    Did you do any trips out whilst there and have you done any videos?

    • @woodyska85
      @woodyska85  Год назад +2

      We took a few trips. Got a taxi to doctor’s cave beach. From there we walked downtown to Sam Sharpe square, then back over to harmony beach before walking back up to the hip strip and got picked up at margarita ville. We also did dunn river falls/blue hole one day. A snorkeling cruise. Luminescent lagoon and went to Scotchies for dinner one night. I didn’t get enough footage to make individual video, but made a montage video that is in the link. Thank you so much for watching Jeff!

    How much is the spa/ motorsports. Iknow its not included but i cant seem to find a price anywhere

    • @woodyska85
      @woodyska85  Год назад +1

      Not quite sure, but I would expect 100+ USD for the smallest spa package. Everything is more expensive on the resort. Another option is taking the shuttle down to the hip strip. (Free every day from 8a-12p) they have several spas. Not sure the prices, but you could call prior and I’m sure it’s less expensive. I feel the downfall of all inclusive resorts and the tourist business at large in Jamaica is they coddle you a lot. You can’t rent a jet ski and drive it. They have to drive it. You have to wear a life jacket while snorkeling ect. They hold your hand with every excursion. It’s all very controlled. Not to discourage people from going. It’s all very beautiful and definitely worth a visit!

    Since they recently made this adults only do they let you access Riu Raggae if staying at Mobay

    • @woodyska85
      @woodyska85  Год назад +1

      Thank you for watching! Unfortunately no. Although, if you stay at reggae, you are able to use Riu montego Bay. If you stay at Palace, you have access Reggae and montego bay. That way the other resorts have access to the parties, night club, and Waterpark that are not present at the other resorts. I've heard from others that you have use the other beaches though. I hope that helps 😀

      @@woodyska85 which property do you think is better as far as luxury and amenities?

    • @woodyska85
      @woodyska85  Год назад +1

      @@mikelarry3835 Palace has more restaurants. Slightly better brand alcohol, but still not top shelf. Offers room service.I dunno.. I feel like the best feature of palace is the MUCH calmer atmosphere from what I’ve been told. For an extra $100+ dollars a night or more depending on the season, it wasn’t worth spending the extra money for my wife and I. Reggae has an additional restaurant and calmer due to the smaller size, but the drinks , most of the food and the amenities are pretty much the same as Riu Mobay. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
