Favorite duo dps has to be Herta+Himeko in pure fiction! It's just so satisfying once Himeko gets her first follow up off you can sit back and watch the chain reaction and just hit ults whenever they're up lol. Kinda needs to be both fire and ice weakness tho. Outside of PF it's probably Jingliu and Blade, though the performance of that team isn't spectacular at least for me.
Seeing Luka get some use is always good, and I'd argue boothill, luka, gallagher, and hmc is the best f2p friendly break team (also it's finally a good full husbando team comp)
You should go and watch some 4 star only clears if you haven’t! Ruri Goku does a bunch of 4 star only runs and if there’s physical weakness he almost always brings Luka
I’m glad there is someone like you who continues to maintain 30/60/90 toughness terminology as the community datamined in the early days. For some weird ass reason, some chucklefuck changed the hsr wiki toughness page to list each unit as “10” toughness for a basic attack. At least if they wanted to simplify the terminology, use the already existing shorthand “1 unit = 30 toughness”. What a buncha of jokers LMAO! turns out HOYO was the one to do it to themselves! in the new 2.3 update, they now enabled enemy toughness bars values to be visible, but they didn't use their internal data, they changed it into units of 10. Now I have to multiply & divide numbers by 3 if I want to make any mental sense or keep track of it
Thanks for showing off Luka's strength's with both him as a carry or dual dps with Boothill, while I know he is far from the best character it always feels like people undersell him and his capabilities specially with this new break meta, which honestly makes Luka so much fun re-triggering his huge bleed's
Unfortunately hypercarry being so effective at clearing content leads to this dynamic of discussion where comparable alternatives aren't valued as highly as slotting 2-3 Harmony units. I think one really good example is the Ratio Topaz Aven team. The output is comparable to Ratio or Topaz hypercarry so although it's perfectly fine to run either the latter is somewhat mocked. You'll often see/hear "why not run Ratio hypercarry" as the default comment/response. There IS some value to discussing this from an "investment value to payoff" angle however. When it comes to BH & Luka the former can eat a lot of SP while Luka, if anything, has had high generation w/o necessarily being able to use it all w/ his team. So on top of the double dipping from break/bleed synergies Luka provides: SP, Def Down (if using Resolution), Vulnerability, and a Dispel. And if your other team ever needs RM? He makes setting up BH's breaks easier.
@@lulzvg yes!! Universally is just better to slot in a harmony because they probably will have more team's outside of BH teams, unlike Luka who doesn't have many. But with like your Ruan Mei example it opens flexibility for your teams, and if you pulled BH or just want to use Luka, showing people this possibilities is always good.
ahaha i pulled for boothill specifically because i knew he would be great with luka. they're amazing to play together my team is the same as the one in this video! i love break dmg and seeing it being focused on during penacony made me really happy
Yeah i actually wanted to try this cause luka pairs well with boot cause he can reduce the enemy defense and their toughness allowing boothill to go even crazier especially if you have the e1 boot with his lightcone
Got Luka e6 recently, still didn't want to build him, saw this video and built him quickly with pieces from kafka and I put the Talia set on him with the 4 piece dot set and I finally 36 starred thisMoc in a team of Acheron, Luka, Pela and Huo huo in 4 cycles for the first half and Gallagher, ruan mei, HMC and Himeko for the second half in 4 cycles . now I await firefly.... sidenote you really can beat this game with FTP substitute
I haven't invested in leveling up Luka (and only have him at E0) , but do have an E6 Xueyi at lvl 80 and think she'd probably work well with Boothill, Gallagher and Harmony MC (don't have Ruan Mei either)
That's the team i've been playing and it's pretty good! It's very satisfying to let Xueyi deal with AOE enemies whilst Boothill does single target and her burst does sometimes help weakness break for Boothill when he doesn't have his burst back to implant physical weakness.

I'm unsure if I should farm Eagle or the new BE set, and if you'd recommend Eagle, what speed stat would be good? Currently I'm at 145 for the Talia Plannar set. Tyvm in advance! Depends on the team. With bronya you just tune to her. a team like this 148 is good so with the 12% you hit 160. For be I don’t even think about it. Just build the right speed and hope for the most.
Because he values more turns over super break because he can trigger his own break in the weakness broken state which is why he wants Bronya more than hmc
but if you’re gonna use firefly and Boothill in MoC, at Least Luka can support with Boothill while HMC can support Firefly. Ruan Mei is a tough one, but she could be with firefly. Bronya could help with Boothill
That's quite the physical tag team! I skipped Boothill for Firefly, so I'm kind of wondering if Luka on his own can achieve somewhat close or good enough results in super break teams (ex. Luka, Ruan Mei, HMC, Gallagher) in content that is meant for Boothill (given phys weakness of course, I know he can't apply it like BH does). I've gotten him to E6 randomly now and haven't built him cause I was under the impression he was kind of locked to DoT (Kafka) teams. I have seen some pretty cool showcases of him as the main break carry even before HMC so I wonder how much of a boost he got.
I still think this team is niche as it depends on the enemies having physical weakness. Some people might argue that BH can implant physical weakness. But I wanna tell them that in ideal scenario that there's no/less enemies with physical weakness, BH won't always have his ultimate up jumping from one target to another to implant physical weakness so how are u gonna break the next enemy with no BH ult in a round? Ur dmg drops significantly in a round. Edit: I also forgot to mention that about boss type enemies and non boss type. So this team is best for the new game mode, Apocalyptic Shadow and some MOC stages that has at least one boss with physical weakness because u wanna stack those badges. Sometimes breaking and killing too fast is also an issue. Having not enough energy to ult next big target with no physical weakness. Hypercarry BH is more consistent than sub-DPS + BH and HMC.

Yes. there will always be a best team but I get bored only using top meta and a characters variability in different comps is what makes them more fun for me.

Yup hmc is really good in ruan meis slot as well. Once I farm my clock credits and get past e1 I’m going to start using hmc a lot more lol

Doesn’t really matter. Both only affect his skill bleed dmg. I’d just go with the highest speed orb

but if you’re gonna use firefly and Boothill in MoC, at Least Luka can support with Boothill while HMC can support Firefly. Ruan Mei is a tough one, but she could be with firefly. Bronya could help with Boothill

Then that's a skill issue from their part Boothill gets his ult up rather quickly but I see what you mean
1 or 2 enemies not having physical weakness isnt really an issue. However if 4 or more enemies dont have physical weakness, well time to ditch luka 😂
