Dug the review, I agree with your feelings of the songs being very similar to each other, but its actually why I like this album for getting work done. Non stop ear-brutality, plus the album gem for me is the last track Szex Witchery! Only dislike for me on this record is the terrible album art cover and missing lyric sheet on the vinyls. BTW I have to address this cuz you constantly refer to Midnight as 'they' when in fact Midnight is all one man behind every instrument, only live is Midnight a band. Look up Athenar sir.

You know you never gave an album a 1. Even the Six Feet Under album you gave a 2. If you want to hear an album that really sounds like Mercyful Fate check out Attics The Invocation from 2012. The vocalist sounds so much like King Diamond it’s absurd. Great album though it really is.

I had a similar expirience with a band called Tower that released their debut album a few weeks ago. Accept worship which is just that… boring for the most part.
Generally, I find it remarkable how often I have different takes than yours but I certainly don't disagree with this review. Midnight always striked me as a band that's doing something that's been done better thousand time before

I don't really agree. The first time I heard this while playing my discover weekly on Spotify I fell in love with it.
