a great video, surprised to only see so few views but then only a few know about the most beautiful instruments that were invented in the peak of the classical/baroque era and what made that time the peak of music imo.
Marek Kudriaszow I love the sound of the Felt Piano Hammers they have a nice soft sound. You're working on making an 88 Key Celesta (Concert Celesta) which is played like a Piano & has the same range as a Piano but an Octave Higher (A1 to C9).
Im glad, but I didnt like the sound of felt hammers. Thats why I changed it. My celesta is not played like piano. I changed many things recently so sound of my new hammers is softer than felt ones.
@@marekkudriaszow3943 So the Felt Hammers are soft but they weren't soft enough. So you made new hammers that are softer than regular Piano hammers. The nice thing though is that because they're very soft, the Bars won't get scratched.
Yes, this organ I am building with my friend for 6 years. Im in the middle of voicing process, which is very time- consuming. That's the reason why I haven't had time to upload new videos recently...
You are amazing! Pretty sure you know Martin Molin and his Marble Machine, if there's any chance you two get to collaborate I'm also sure the result would be pure awesomeness :)
Hey, thanks! I made all plates, in this vid there was only brass and aluminium but I did many changes this year and made bars of many alloys, each alloy specific to each register. Im sure you can make your own material choices based on experiments
That is lovely and so well suited to the celesta sound
Congratulations for your celesta, you are a real artisan man.
Completely incredible!
So ethereal sounding
I played this way back for one of my exams... will be forever memorized in my head!
Fantastic sound
How Beautiful!!!
Fantastic job! Well done
Beautiful!

@@marekkudriaszow3943 Yeah the Felt hammers weren't soft enough, the new ones are gentler than the felt hammers so the bars don't get scratched.
@@marekkudriaszow3943 These Keys happen to be from an old Piano.
@@marekkudriaszow3943 It's a very gentle sound, but it can be played like a Piano

Legit
Very nice. Is that a small organ behind you? Looks like it has stops. Have you tried an organ yet? I so enjoy your videos.

Hey! Thanks a lot :) I have seen some his videos but dont know him personally
Amazing! Do you have any advice for someone who wants to build one?
I dont know... Just follow your heart and ear and everything will be great:) Celesta is not very complicated instrument. Good luck:)
Where could I find parts to build one
Hello, well done! I have the same project! What is the material for the soundplates? Do you know a producer?

it's beautiful - maybe you can show us how you got all the different parts for it
I build all by myself except keyboard
@@marekkudriaszow3943 how did you get the metal tones though? glockenspiel?
@@ShaiUI I did all metal work by myself.
Good job! How to you get the opportunity to play this instrument?
I built it, now it is in my home
@Ilovepotatoes nearly a year
The celesta is kind like a piano
Why not make a "Tenor Celesta"? It's pitched an Octave below this standard Celesta.
Im making it now as a stop for my organ.
@@marekkudriaszow3943 It has a pretty mellow sound
@@marekkudriaszow3943 The Tenor Celesta (aka Non-Transposing Celesta) it sounds as written cause the Bars are twice the size.
How can he play without the sheet music? How how? How is it humanly possible?
Belfut
Awfull this instrument is not made for baroque music
