It's definitely moving, very visceral, all the wounds are exposed, vulnerability, all the love that was thrown away, all the love left behind, all the passion remembered, rejection, the desire to continue loving someone who already got over you OR someone who refuses to get back at you even though they want you back also
I get all those deep feelings whenever I listen to it (now in my mind.)

...seeing them live for the first time last year in Bologna was such an intense experience ... I love the uniqueness of the feelings they can evoke with their special and beautiful music...
I was completely blown away when seeing them as support of Amorphis last fall (twice) as I didn't know them before. That were definitely two of the most powerful and most emotional performances I've ever witnessed! Very cool

They shouldn't have treated their drummer like that, no matter the problems. He gives a different energy to the band.

Epitaph They kicked him out of the band (which he was a founder of) without any discussions and have now stopped paying him loyalties from the merchandise (90% of which he designed). I see its been 4 months since my last confession ...I love this song!! :)
Summer -22 driving around Iceland chose not to see the band in their homeground @Lemmy as I had already experienced them before in Finland. Instead I went to see a just formed Icelandic afro band (!) just a few blocks away. Wasn´t bad but when I walked back past Lemmy the outro of this echoed through the streets of Reykjavik and left me gutted. So, you can´t always win can you :)

Solstafir....stripped down like this reveals there best traits! Looked over due to their outcast, stepchild like differences from what people expect. KEXP always brings out the best in bands & individuals shine! Taking these guys out of the black metal crowed is what they need.......hope they are smart enough to see that!

Fucking beautiful voice, tone, drums, everything. But it was honestly the voice that blew me away. Incredible. I just wish nothing happened and the drummer was still there. Oh well
What does the Goddess of the Ages say now that we are shifting into a new era?
From Wikipedia : Before the beginning of the second leg of their European tour in January
2015, the band posted a message on Facebook saying that Pálmason would
not be joining them due to "personal reasons". Guðmundur replied
immediately via the band's Twitter account, explaining that he'd been
"stonewalled by ex-bandmates" and "thrown out of his life's work".
In the beginning of June 2015, Guðmundur offered an explanation of the
events that occurred 5 months prior. In an extensive statement, he
revealed the details of his "forced" departure and condemned the actions
of the rest of the band, in particular Aðalbjörn Tryggvason. (vocal, guitar)
So basically, a typical scenario where a bunch of guys start doing the music they love, then some of them start believing too much in their own stardom, and decide to throw it all into the bin. And then behave like complete cunts about it whenever questioned about it (like we've seen on this comment section). Good for them.
