Rapier is least cool, idc how precise or accurate you can be with it. Flimsy noodle lookin ass. Even in history, it was used by goofy lookin mfs... not cool dude, not cool
@@RedLizardRecruiter Zorro, Puss in Boots (child me DREAMED of being like that), Fiora, Arya stark (Imma count her shortsword, it has a rapier aesthetic to it), the musketeers, Cassandra from Vox Machina. In anime you got Esdeath and the stand from the french dude in jojo. Even Dooku's style is based on fencing, which is exactly the duelist feel the rapier gives off. Just of the top of my head some well known badass characters from good media. It's cool af.
As a rogue main that has in the past played some amount of Bard - both weapons have specific situations where they are preferred or even required. I usually run both a rapier and a dagger, swapping between them as needed. Rapier is definitely best for PvE cheese, though when doing bosses the attack times and dps of the rondel shine. When facing a Barb or certain Fighter/Warlock, or cleric weapons rapier can be needed for spacing in between weapon arcs and swings. Against some of the axe builds especially. I use the dagger when it is a good winow to commit or draw out quickly after closing with caster classes and rangers. Picking perks for each makes this more complicated, but just saying the damage on shortsword and it's attack animations are kind of insane right now.
Personally I have tried both, and I gotta say that I still prefer my beloved rapier. Maybe its just my playstyle but being able to quickly whip the rapier out, stab the enemy once or twice and then back out and continue my kiting has been working really well for me, especially against barb and fighter where face tanking isn't always the best option
I started using the Arming sword as with Bard's naturally high action speed it lowkey is a beast PLUS it's attack set is fast and easy to land headshots with the damage is decently high as well. Pairs well with a lantern shield and it's been my goto this wipe honestly.
The real answer is that rapier is maybe the most well rounded melee weapon in the game, and rondel is the biggest pvp crutch weapon in the game. Rapier can be used in pretty much every matchup you run into and allows for a lot more skill expression. Rondel lets you auto win against other melee weapons it's good into without thinking
when doing the intro with big text popping up in the middle dont be afraid to make it much larger. also set the pop op anchor point to the middle of the text will give it a lil nicer feel to it. love the content
Is it tho? Glee has been the first choice for fighters for quite some time, before then rondel was good and is still. Rogues favorite dagger has been stiletto for ages before rondel got more popular cuz of a stilleto nerf and its the most consistent. Most used bard weapon is definitely rapier then and still. The most consistent weapon being popular kinda makes sense though, that goes for a lot of weapons. Spellbook, spear and even bardiche are all used alot cuz they are the most consistent and conventional.
I use the rapier because it’s cool

I use rapier because it is long bigger and harder than the small ass rondel

on rogue i used to LOVE short sword before it was nerfed bc u can run other perks and melt ppl
Despite the obvious plus and minus' of both, I think Rapier remains the better choice in 3s based on reach alone.
Cooking with these videos lately man
Hey Yami, just went through a breakup it’s been rough but thanks to your content I can have a laugh thanks homie love the content. ❤
get on the gold grind now homie🎉
Cringe 😂
Today I thought about jumping into your stream to ask this exact question! lmao

Lmao I didn't expect the boss death xD
😂 bro falling in the abyss feels so horrible lmao

Same I think it’s kinda slept on for bard the first two swings come out super fast which is nice for bossing.
1:05 shield bash so good bro moaned 😂
0:55 its so cuteeeee

Watching him die like that itched a scratch I didn't know I needed 😌
I use the rapier because the rapier mastery buff applies to the lantern shield in my off hand as well
Cool info. Do this for every meta weapon for each class. Idea
when doing the intro with big text popping up in the middle dont be afraid to make it much larger. also set the pop op anchor point to the middle of the text will give it a lil nicer feel to it. love the content
i got jebaited by the music
the end XD
double crossbow primary, 50% phys power bonus Lute with +2 weapon damage melee, while drunk
i use rapier because this class is like the main character for this weapon having a extra perc for it, but i must say rondel is crazy right now
Been liking the rapier more now that it's dmg got buffed, while the Rondel's got nerded
i like rapier because i use lantern shield, and the perk buffs lantern shield in off hand :)
Show us how to block !!!!! 😅
not my ahh using the falchion all the time
What are those players?
they gotta make it so Goblin returns your gear when u fall
they made it this way so people don't jump into the void to avoid PVP/gear loss
I like using the rondel better because I don't waste a skill slot because of the rapier. I also swing faster using the rondel instead of a rapier
its a tradition to lose phat kits to BS the wyvern does.
Btw I always crouch when I block those harpies. Never get hit.
arming sword obv, super fun
rondel is so nice for the bait and switch
Rondel for solo/duo beer build, trio rapier.
Rondel is kinda OP tbh, consistently high DPS and low movespeed penalty and godlike attack pattern that never ends make it my weapon of choice
Rapier in squire with war song and rapier mastery is bis
I use the arming sword because i like it
I like to feel like dooku so yeah.
I prefer the cute double crossbow
Fondle Dagger is much better. Very few times where the slight reach is preferred over the highest dps in the game.
I very much prefer the rapier for it's reach when fighting pve. Rondel is just too much of a hassle when fighting skele champs or wendigos
I prefer arming with lantern shield, silly little combo
I main rapier but im learning rondel.
My opinion but arming sword damage kinda absurd on bard as well.
falchion bard lol
I love rapier but I think rondel is just better overall
Arming sword ofc better.
Falc because I’m braindead
rapier has longer energy
Rondel is the most boring weapon in the game and it's a shame it's been the meta weapon on 3 classes for months.
Is it tho?

Raiper so much better in my own wise mind
i cant stand using the knives and daggers in this game
i prefer barbarian
Both broken
ur lookin extra breedable in this video. good frockin work bro
why so disgusting?
Halfasian is awesome
