- Today's topic is actually one of those early 00's Atlanta based power duos. Building a fairly successful reputation for himself underground; Sean P was well on his way to being a successful solo act until he came across fellow Atlantean J-Bo. When they came together; they became true star potential and decided to form the duo YoungBloodz. The critically acclaimed duo gave us some of the best early 00’s hits like 2003’s Damn! with Lil Jon and 2005’s Presidential. Enjoying a decent run between 1997 and 2007 consisting of three successful albums; it wasn’t long before the rappers decided to pursue solo careers to varying levels of success. The duo is still technically together and do perform on the odd occasion but their decision to go solo is ultimately what made them fall off. Today we are discussing the life and career of the YoungBloodz from Sean P's beef with Pimp C, to their rise; run in with the law and eventual departure from the spotlight. Let’s get into it!!

I don't care who they sound like "85" will FOREVER be a banger!!
85 is their best song imo
@@Mr.Wilsin I agree
Bro… I love that shit
The beat from T.I.'s song U Don't Know Me was YoungBloodz originally. DJ Toomp who produced the song, said “I had moved the track U Don’t Know Me around to a few people. I think the YoungBloodz had it first. The stuff I heard them put to it was cool, but by the time Tip got to it, I think some of his homeboys called him and was like, 'Yo man, ya’ll got another one!'”
Mixing up they names is almost as bad as saying Project Pat was Juicy J little brother.
😭😅
Exactly knowing damn well pat the oldest
so many solid artists were lost in the mp3 vs record label merger era. 2000-10 was rough because many did 2 album 3 if lucky and just disappeared or got shelved for acts. Eras changed quickly crunk, trap, snap music, freestyles, and etc.
Currency and wiz seemed to have survived that transition
I never forget when I 1st saw Sean p on “snap ya fingers” n I was so mind blown that Sean Paul (the Jamaican artist) could switch styles like that😂 i really thought they was the same person
Me too !
Chill 😂😂😂
They resemble each other so
This channel showing love to all the underground nostalgia from my childhood! Much love
YoungBloodz are forever ingrained in my childhood.
On god
Man, I really miss the whole Crunk movement, the south was really on fire back then. hopefully in the future, Crunk makes a comeback.
I miss it too especially them 36 mafia dayz
Man… “Damn!” from the Youngloodz is definitely in the playlist rotation headed to the home games to watch the Dirty Birds play.
Pimp use to be on that powder here and there trippen😂
You got the name reserved..lightskin dude was Sean P. And the other brotha J bo
Yeahhhh thought so Sean p the light skin dude
Right he got them mixed up big time
I mean he tell us in his verse “ I’m Sean P aka a sharp crease” that’s how remember lol
Thanx for correcting this Culture Vulture 🥳. He definitely got a unSub from me.
@@gotalotta28 nah don't do that G.. bruh makes great content ..just a honest mistake.
He may influenced em but them boys was Dungeon Fam from the start
They're Attic Crew
They sounded nothing like Pimp C. Neither of them. Also messed up how Sean Paul had to change his name later because of the reggae/dance hall Sean Paul
I don't see where Sean P sounds like Pimp C either, speaking or rapping wise. Sean P sounds like an ATLien and Pimp sounded like a Texan. 🤷🏾♀️
Them ngas was most definitely a fake asx UGK Foh
You said lil Wayne but showed lil Jon 😑😭
Dude can’t be American he think we all look alike
😂😂😂😂😂
I mean tomato Popeyes chicken and biscuit 😂😂 it happens
He should know better, he’s not American but his videos are usually pretty good.
@@fra593 yea it’s with his pictures
No they did NOT steal anybody sound. They was the shit all by they self.
Back in undergrad that group performed, and it was everything. Many of us didn't know who they were until they were on 106 &Park. Two very talented brotha's, and hope the best for them.
Sean P went on a crazy feature run
85 and U-way remix was lit
Every southern rapper from the late 90s- early 2000s wanted to be like Pimp C. His style and his flow, nobody was rapping like that before pimp. He created his own sound, and everybody wanted to emulate him. Pimp is a icon in the south, but he has respect nationwide. Even Jay Z specifically requested pimp c for big pimpin
They put out some good songs back in the day
WHEW AN ERA!!!! MANNNNNN
The best era was back then rap&hiphop is dead sadly..I hate to say.
When folks from the south make music they all want to say we sound alike
J-Bo sounded more like MJG so easy to notice that the were influenced by 8-Ball and MJG and UGK plus some Outkast.
Nah pimp was buggin on this one
Right!
Used to rock 85 In my 88 Royale thru st.louis baby!
Ali, can you please do a video on the "Jim Crow (Group)"?❤❤❤❤

But you're the last viewer
The only song I remember that group making was"Lean Low"
U got there names backwards dude...go back and do your homework smdh
I wonder what happened to Youngbloodz. We haven’t seen them in years, so they kinda went solo on their own. No musical group will last forever due to personal issues or egos.
They did a BET interview about 2 years ago its on RUclips
I remembered that and they were young back then when the new wave of rappers were coming up. At that time, Atlanta rappers were signed to LaFace Records. There were only signing R&B acts around the 90s era including TLC and Usher. They didn’t sign rappers until OutKast came on board.
Dawg, you swapped J-Bo and Sean Paul at the start. Show your age a little. lol
This misunderstood pimp when he said that voice coming threw the speakers- meant that he felt that was HIS VOICE
You should do the signer Yasmeen the girl who sing the blue jeans song
How you gonna do the Y.B's like that with this short Doc 🤨⁉️
Can u do a video on The rapper tha joker??
Did you say Decatur, Atlanta? You know Atlanta isn't a state right?
You know they was part of the Dungeon Family also
Sean P sounds & raps like Pimp C.... IMO

You mixed em up…Sean p is on the left and j-Bo on the right 😂
You got the names backwards.

"I-85" & "U-way" were hits in their own right rights & led the way to the other, later hits.
Ok that's scary just said Ali hasn't covered THE YOUNGBLOODZ!!!!! I'm not mad doe! What about WHT JIM CROW or GS BOYZ!
J bo looking like Andre 3000 twin
Pimp C was on some bs. Youngbloodz had their own style. Also you got the names mixed up on the pics.

Atlanta stole the whole Houston 🤣😏
Lol
there is only one Sean P.. RIP Sean Price🦍
Love youngboodz
Sean Paul Don't Sound Nothin Like Pimp.
Now 8ball&MJG Would've Been A Better Comparison 😅
People need to be very careful when the use the term "household name". He said that song made them a household name of that era. You're a house name when people who don't even follow your career knows who you are. Janet Jackson is household name. I forgot they even existed until this video. And it can be in any industry - not just the entertainment industry.
i hope u feel better now that u finally got that off ur chest.
1:30 wrong cover art
Sean Paul thought he was better than he really was. No hate just my opinion. I love 2 c my ppl getting 2 it.
The ladies love Sean P, but J bo was the lyricist...
