I’m a huge fan of Raceface as I’ve got their bars, stems, and cranksets on multiple bikes. My one complaint is the Next carbon cranks as I’ve had three sets where the pedal insert loosens up(all warrantied) but what an absolute pain in the backside. I hope these are better.

Same experience with my Raceface Next carbon crankset. Inserts came loose. I switched to alloy crankset for my mtb. It took so long for Raceface to warranty the Next crankset (over 8 months) the owner of my local bike shop that built my mtb bought me a new crankset, and he waited for the replacement.

My Next SL failed at the spindle/crank arm interface like everyone else’s. They were not warranted because they were 3.5 years old. CS was awful. I’ve got tons of their stuff: bars, stems, etc. I’ll never buy another Race Face product again.

They should have done this years ago. I had to have my Next R's warrantied 2x because of the poor construction of the pedal insert. I finally gave up on them and switched to a different set of cranks. Hope these are better and they should really just give anyone with the Next series a free upgrade.

This is awesome! I love the wear plate idea! I’m always concerned about heel wear on my Next Sl & Easton cranks.

    When?

I hope it won't be like a Specialized lifetime warranty, when lifetime means circa 8 years 🥲

@@ricodvorsky3844 Many bike companies offer lifetime warranty on products but when you read the small print it says 'lifetime of the product, not lifetime of the owner' and then say that they will determine what they think the lifetime of the product is, which in a crank may well be only 8 years

I think even 8 years is a good timeframe still. If it can last even that long without breaking you’ve gotten your moneys worth. Would be nice though if they can give you a free upgrade to the event they do stop making these to the newer model

Slightly similar to clickbait titles. You can advertise 8 years warranty or LiFeTIme WaRrAntY and there would be no difference.

Lifetime warranty means "Practical Product Lifespan" as defined by RF. Plus their warranty doesn't cover "accidents." It's in the fine print.

Too bad they can’t design their next SLs to be as durable
