Man I remember playing this as a kid. Getting to the secret base, I always got stuck at fighting the helicopter robot. After finally learning how to fight that one and getting past him everything went smooth. Until the nuclear plant ... plant appeared. I had no problem against the normal monsters, but always the bosses with special strategies that really threw me off as a kid. I just wanted to mash them up like everything else XD
Boss's hp bar is the most honest at all time. You drop them to 75%? Short cutscene of transformation then continue. Most of the time when you deplete a boss hp bar, it transform then another full bar filled up. Robo47 is my main.
Ohh my god the nostalgia, I had completely forgotten about the Vine-Hydra. Ohh man.. I used to play this a lot as a kid, damn this was cool to see again.
@@Sean_Trotta On the Baytown level, if any player racks up a certain number of destruction points (smashing buildings, stepping on trees, etc.) an earthquake will be triggered and half the city will collapse into giant sinkholes. However, the level does not contain enough destructible geometry for two people to reach the required point total, making it difficult to trigger while there are NPCs on the field. You must move fast to break as much as you can before the other monsters break it, or you will miss your chance at reaching the needed score.
I believe the V is supposed to mean the Roman numeral for 5, so maybe this was the Japanese's 5th attempt at making a fighting robot in the War of the Monsters universe?
Um...No. There were two different volcano levels, a New Mexico canyon, and a city built into the side of a mountain but no snow environments. You might be thinking of a different kaiju-centered game?
@@DoctorFailYou could be getting it confused with twisted metal black which does have a snowy mountian level and that game is made by the same developers

Togera was always my favorite to play and reminded me of godzilla
Yeah He's a homage to Godzilla which is why hes my favorite
well i guess sweet tooth he is a hero in this game cuz he build a giant version of him self to fight a big monsters it twisted
Pretty sure sweet tooth just wanted to be part of the wanton destruction and kill everyone else.
The nostalgia is real

2:40 CONGAR BE CAREFUL!
*COOOOOOONGAAAAAAAAARRR*
MOOOOOOGAR
Honestly, I take that as his canonical demise, given how little of him is left when he returns as a cyborg.
I LOVE THIS GAME! =D
MK1MonsterOck1989 I own it

MK1MonsterOck1989 nice wish it had online

I just like how congar just vanishes as he gets crushed.
dude i loved Ultra Vs map using preytor bc I would always throw projectiles at the UFOs
I was 3 when I first played this
Bouts to get me a refurbished ps2 and copy of war of the monsters for that nostalgia
It's also on PS4 to download along with twisted metal black. If you get both games, you can unlock the sweet tooth skin in this video.
@@Darth234Ravenous you don't need twisted metal for the ps4 version
This game needs a remaster
Ahhh I love my childhood
Thought they were about to have us go into round 4 with that final boss lol
Did anyone know how to properly use Ultra V's special move? Surely there was more to it than pulling them closer for a small combo
Nope. That's all it does. However it is handy (pun intended) if a low hp enemy is running away trying to heal up.
If your carrying a gasoline truck or (explosive of any kind) then do his long range special it takes like 50% health on your opponent
I would pull them closer.. grab them, throw them straight up and kick them (backflip)
Grab a fuel truck and use it while holding it. Does more damage and still can run a small string
That's his long range. His short has his pull out an energy katana and spin it around himself, Sending enemies flying.
Am I the only one remembering Preytor and Robo Congars level to be like really hard???
Hardest level in the game
Troppo bello io ce l'ho ancora originale per la ps2 stupendo
Ohh my god the nostalgia, I had completely forgotten about the Vine-Hydra. Ohh man.. I used to play this a lot as a kid, damn this was cool to see again.
I remember I used to love preytor in this game
Holy crap! I didn’t know you could level a stage into the earth. How does one do that?
Are you referring to what happened at 8:40 ?
ACERCODE yes

Godzilla & anguirus vs shrek & donkey
u know what the red and green monster really remind's me of Godzilla
The entire game is nothing but Easter eggs.
Before easter eggs were even a thing lol
@@that_girl_in_a_v6856 Hardly.
@@PassionWagonYT almost every monster if not every, are based off of old scifi movies or shows. Yes the whole game's roster is one giant Easter egg
@@that_girl_in_a_v6856 That's not what an easter egg is. The earthquake event at the city stage? That's a lot closer to being an easter egg.
This is so awesome!!
Was diablo togera an attempt at diablo from blizzard?
KONG VS GODZILLA
adventure of the monster
2:55 is my favorite
Mike myers & eddie murphy
Earth go hard
Godzilla & anguirus team up
Didn't even know this was a game? Tf?
But.. Why Togera?
