Listened to the whole thing, and only at the end I realised how they haven't touched on queerness of this album, but rather the emotions, relationships and creative process and it made me smile how this didn't need to be a focal point of the conversation, but rather just something given. And instead we got to listen to Troye relay what this music means to him. Love the album. Love Troye, been a fan since his youtube days. Supper happy.
Zane is a GREAT interviewer for musicians. His active listening, rich knowledge of music production and songwriting, and adept follow-up questions made this a great interview.

As a 28 year old queer person in Melbourne, I’ve been wanting to take advantage of the queer nightlife here more because I also never had a party phase and and this album is reaaaaally making me want to do it even more!

Troye seems so much like the guy next door, and yet so very special. I don't even know how to describe him. His music, that album - heard each song once and... yep! that's the new bomb! I LOVE IT - especially because it sounds like sooo true to himself - so different than mainstream-others that are chasing behind success. He let's the success come to him - by just being himself and singing about his inner feelings. And THAT's what makes it authentic and REAL!
He's a dance pop king, been bumping his music for over 5 years now. Art is the only way to complete a full feeling. It's so good to pass on creativity to others that have helped you makes the world a better place.
He's so right. Aussie queer parties are so genuine and like no other. I miss it!

Love hearing about all the effort Troye puts into all the details and aesthetics. Nailing the videos, the artwork, the choreo, making his scent products in Australia with real feeling and authenticity - it really shows in the final product. It's about expression and communication, not just money and commercialization or "winning the market". Sooooo refreshing and cool to see this on display so audaciously in the pop music scene.

One year post breakup and I finaly feel like I'm over the hill! Just heard "Rush" and "Got Me Started" and those songs stuck with me, so hearingTroye say this album is about the end of getting over after a breakup!? Some albums just find you exactly when you need them
