Around 6:50 a officer threatens a citizen with arrest for disturbing the peace, which by law. She can not be the complaintive. A private citizen has to claim a damage by the loud noise to their business. Then there is the 1st amendment. Which allows you to assemble peacefully. This could be musical or political musical views. Expression without complaint is why we are free in the country. This lady needs to make a public apology or be reviewed by the local DA

Dovydas has some insightful comments to make about being under contract. He participated in a show like "Got Talent" when he was very young, and lucky for him the producers were new and did not yet have an industry standard contract, or he could have screwed up his career for years. He knows how dangerous it can be for a young person to get bound up to a contract, especially of the company drags their feet, another thing which has happened to him already concerning a custom guitar he designed.
DOVYDAS, not only did you display your amazing talents in music but you also displayed yourself as a decent and respectful person. I'm more of a fan now than ever. In fact, the cop did you a favor by allowing this other side of yourself to be displayed

I remember back in the late '70s jamming with a little band out on a patio in a residential area, and one person in the neighborhood complained. A cop had to answer the call and intervene, but he actually sat back and listened for a while first lol! In fact, he told us if we would turn it down even a little (we weren't playing very loud anyway), he would go back and tell the cranky neighbor that there was nothing more he could do. But we shut it down anyway. No point making enemies, y'know?

There was some type of jerk who made a complaint and they have to follow through on those complaints and she didn't like having to follow through on the complaint. Another guy made a comment here and he made a great comment. He said the police officer should get the person who complained and bring her/him to DØVYDAS, so she can complain directly to his face. But instead all these idiots are yelling out obscenities at this police officer while she's just doing her job. Someone called in a complaint she said she's sorry but she has to follow through with these complaints that she likes music too. I don't think she much like having to do that... So then she had to put up with all the people yelling at her, and police officers don't get paid much. They just felt the call to do this and yes there's some bad apples there but not all police officers are bad I'm getting sick and tired of these idiots, who think all Police Officers are bad...

Most of the time they think they know the law yet it is only usually only in part. They will twist the law to suit their purposes.

Go take several seats and while you're there watch some more of his videos and you will see that he stops playing within the legal time frame. The complaints are coming from restaurant customers not from home owners with children. If you took the time to watch this video you would know that. You would also see many parents with their children enjoying his music if you took the time to watch his videos. Show some respect to him by not bashing him when you obviously don't know anything about him!
My band faced the same type of issues with police. We finally got our state/city issued business license and and got the required permits and made sure we were in the correctly zoned areas when we played.. and our problems disappeared. When the police show up we show them our paperwork and they usually smile and say "have a nice night", and all is good. We do have to keep the sound system within certain dB limits in some areas, but we have made friends with the area businesses and promote them from stage. We patronize them ourselves, call the owners by first name, and ask them to approach us directly if they have any issues with us. That has smoothed out their objections. Idk if that would work for you but it has worked for us.

Actually those people were disturbing the peace when they were talking like that.... Can you imagine having to do your job because someone complained and you're having to be that one to go up and tell that person knowing that the crowd is probably going to be totally against you when that should never be that people will have become more childish and ignorance to our police officers and all that they do that they're so underpaid but they chose to do this job and they don't complain about it and they work actually 2 to 3 jobs. Because they felt the call to do that not the call to Power Trip... Again there's going to be bad people in every profession but that doesn't make all of them bad and if these people here would have listened to the conversation you would see that she's not a bad person... Unfortunately you get a few who want things their way only and object to music or the style of music and put in a complaint, the police have to do their job. I would think the majority of people don't have a problem with him but sometimes the minority has the loudest voice, sadly.
Get the permit and then they'll come out with meters to control how loud you can go and threaten with a fine.

A cop who made contact with me, was giving me the cop lecture. The cop then said to me..."do you know why I became a cop?" my response....you became a cop, because you got C's and D's in high school and couldn't get into college." Suffice to say, the cop was pissed with my comment.
My point is people need to "Know their Right" and stand up for them, when it's wrong what the cops do. As for the girl shouting out....that is not an arresting offense. We still have freedom of speech and freedom to peacefully assemble.

I can understand the position the police were in, if the private businesses complained abt the decibel level (I think it's called nuisance or noise violation) like if your music is invading their building. Let me clarify my statement. My issue is with the "permit required". A permit means that you have to get permission to do something that you already have a right to do. Permits and Licenses are arbitrary laws. There has to be a victim in order to be a crime. Otherwise it's no different than a sin against the state. Yes, in this case there was an alleged complaint from another person. So other than allowing the man and the 50 people to continue enjoying the show, how would a permit have done anything different? It would have only taken away the power from the people and gave it to the state. As a couple comments pointed out a permit wasn't even necessary. So the cop shutdown that whole situation under a threat of punishment for breaking a law that wouldn't have been broken if he had permit.

SHE WAS TRYING TO HELP HIM...because Obviously, if they get noise complaints from people, and he doesn't have one, then they have to run with it.
