You’re the first person I’ve ever heard say that besides me, I tell people all the time stop being a fan of him personally, I think he would but that’s just the mindset
I am a producer, and that is one of the challenges as a community we are dealing with.. so, as you were talking about bitting their favorite artist, I think that should apply to selecting a beat.. just wanted to speak on that lol 😆
@@Playboimatrix200 juice or Xxxtentacion prolly ynw melly just find what sticks to you and a beat your voice cuts thru I can also say Cali artists cuhz we do ts the best tbh like Kalan frfr bino 03 wallie 22gfay
i want to be lyrical too i wrote a whole bunch of lyrical songs then when i went to record it it didn't sound right on my voice so ig I'm just sticking to the melodic sound
@@babybilsbils4134 bils I think of lyrical stuff too but frustrated cause I can’t put it to the beat same even though I can put it to paper great. I don’t even want to write that style it’s just what comes to mind. Going for a more laid back melodic drake or Wayne type flow but after trying to make the lyrics more simple for that I get stuck and writers block
I appreciate your video. what should I do when almost every track I make is different. some are really good and some arnt. but I find my self making different type of music every time.
I think the only beats I can flow well is in boom bap or 90s style but I'm scared because I feel like it's not a style of rap that is heard a lot these days😭😭
My problem feels tricky. When I hear a beat right away during the scats I think of a lot of lyrics. Problem is while the lyrics may be good their in a style that not right for my voice and tone. I can think of dope Joyner Lucas type shit but my voice and flow is better suited for a laid back drake/lil Wayne type flow. Then I try to break down the lyrics and make them more simple for that style and I end up getting writers block. I get lost and feel like I can’t put it to the beat as well as I put it on paper. It’s frustrating. I feel like I’m gonna end up someone’s ghost writer if I don’t get to being a rapper.
practice on areas you feel weak/very uncomfortable w in my experience is the most helpful i found my sound by doing what made me most uncomfortable is what actually helped me discover and develop various sounds.
Hi can someone please give me advice? I like making music just for making music and don't want to do it for income, I just like muscial craft. That said, I want to make music I like, but that clashes with music I can make. My voice is calm and can suit RNB better, but I want to make music that gets you up and dancing to. Think of doja cat music. I also cannot formulate any suitable lyrics to pop beats but I know that at some point, I do want to listen to my music and enjoy dancing to it. You can't really do it with slow-tempo rnb. Do I change my voice or just go with what I'm already building?
my problem is when i rap on type beats i end up rapping like the person i typed in. im better at bein myself when theres no name attached to the beat

Recording yourself and listening back is a good way to help find your voice. Just try different things and work at what you’re good at it.
