Thank you big man for making this video ✅
You're pretty much the replacement for Spaceuk lol which I find funny
my reply will probably be outdated soon because I am going to say "wait, Zoink comment with only 1 like?"
ok SpaceUS
Omg, so few likes, let me fix that
Yoink
The worst thing about crisis not getting his number one position is that spaceuk was one of his BEST friends. They were both happy to share the top two spots because he was proud of his friend and didn't want to compete. Eventually crisis got extremely demotivated because space was always, consistently better than him. He would have been the number one player for a very long time if it were not for him. This also hits pretty close to me because he was the first friend I made online, same for him (when we were both nobodies lol) and I remember motivating him on his whole journey to that position, telling him he would get there someday. It took him just over a year to go from beating auditory breaker to stuff like firework. Sadly this stuff is irreversible and we will never know how far he could have gone.
Can't believe he got everyone to fall for it, Haram.
He fooled everyone

To all the people who were 'supposed' to be number 1 or number 2 if it weren't for SpaceUK: It's not that you were *supposed* to be; you *were* the number1/number 2. Maybe not 'officially'; you didn't have the title, but you were absolutely the legitimate number 1 or number 2 or whatever. Don't let a hacker make you think less of your achievements just because you were not at the top 'on paper'.
the initial feeling of the moment, just seeing a "#1" next to your name for a long time, hits different
its not something that can be replicated, or reversed to be done
their achievements may be mind-boggling, but what would've been that moment is long gone and can't be gotten
plus, the respect and attention from the community is something they didnt get, nobody recognized them as the best despite properly being the best, and though people are recognizing it now, a lot of these players quit and never unleashed their true potential due to never reaching that proclaimed spot, again, the moment is long gone, crisis in particular has mostly quit the game despite probably being the top 1 player for a good year, and though he is being respected as such now, the motivation for him to return is long gone
@@NameName-ho3ej Yeah, at the very least if I were Doggie, I would have considered myself to be the verifier of Slaughterhouse.

This is literally the top 1 of one of the biggest hacking scandals in the gd history. I wont hate space from what he did but i'm dissapointed at him. I hope he reflects and learns all their lesson
idk id say cyclic cause sonic wave might be the most iconic lvl ever and the riot vs cyclic rivalry was so good
@@lilcookee8913 absolutely not cyclic didn't steal awards from players who deserved it he didn't cause countless other top players to become demotivated from pursuing their goals thinking they would never surpass him in skill he didn't cheer people on and then steal the title of first victor from them by hacking the level on purpose he didn't befriend other players while lying to them the whole time cyclic's exposal was huge but it didn't have nearly as big of an impact as spaceuk's 3 years of stealing the spotlight from the rest of the community and ruining the top of the demon list for his own entertainment
@@dragonfruitreal to be fair at the time there were no awards like this when cyclic hacked so you cant rlly compare them i just think cyclics cheating was more iconic and influential because it paved the way for a ton of creators and pushed in a neew era of gd
@@dragonfruitreal and at that he was hacking against the goat of gd so id just say if cyclic did that now it would be bigger than space
@@dragonfruitreal I was there back then and I disagree. It looks like Cyclic’s scandal has been heavily romanticized due to him being part of “the greatest rivalry in the game”, and due to a few being left to tell the story - which I understand. But the facts stand that despite there being no awards or formal demonlist rankings at that point, cyclic cheating as the #1 player is still almost a mirror to space’s scandal. He had not only taken the title of “best player” from legit players like Giron, Riot, Alex etc… But for over a year, he also similarly stole first victories from fully legit players (the most notable example being cataclysm). And of course, he also had made a sizable amount of ad revenue from these famous completions - not as much as space’s but still worth noting. For a long time, we saw him as the best there was. He was very looked up to in the community. (Hell, riot was even more suspicious at the time of the confession due to the community not knowing about the reason for trail cutting; higher FPS, etc.) But we know now that cyclic lied and manipulated his way to obtain that status. So the sheer disbelief, confusion, anger and disappointment you all are feeling now is all too familiar for us who were there back in 2015.
Man, if the "best" GD player turns out to be a hacker, what about all the other top players? Not saying that they are all hackers, but this needs to be investigated to make sure something like this won't happen again. I'm really glad to hear your take on the situation. Thank you 👍
Basically all top players completions been reviewed by POINTERCRATE and there is nothing suspicious about them. Except for SpaceUK's stuff.
Actually there was a guy who was quickly beating the top 10 but he was exposed for zbot this lead the demon list mods to investigate top players for this and paqoe found space using zbot and made a video on him
I'm especially a bit suspicious about Zoink. But he has dome handcam streams so I highly doubt that he's a hacker
@@vedantsridhar8378 wpopoff is more suspicious than zoink
Its always so hard to see someone you looked up to dissapoint you in such a big way. My heart goes out to everyone who was hurt by his actions. I'm glad you and others are speaking out about this. Hopefully the gd community will support the people who should've been recognized for their achievements rather than trying to pretend like what Space did wasn't harmful to others.
The thing I've been wondering, is who would've actually verified slaughterhouse if space didn't hack it? Like, everyone would've kept playing it and would've been such an intense race. I wish we could've seen the races unfold :(
(Also I always had a feeling he was hacking, it just didn't sit right with me how one person could accomplish all those 'achievements' that he supposedly did leaving literally everybody else in the dust)
Doggie would ve been the verifier, as he wás a verifier but eventually became the 1st Victor of sh
I guess you haven’t watched Sliaghterhouse that much; Because Doggie would be and is the Verifier of Slaughterhouse
What I'm trying to say though, is people would've probably been way more motivated to beat it, doggie kept playing it because he loves the level, but the supposed verification would've killed off the motivation for many people participating in the race so the way I see it it may not have been doggie
@@brychaelbruh you dont know what would have happened, it could have been anyone out of like 5 people
@@ka1b3ast it most likely would have still been doggie since he still had the most progress at the time
Thank you so much for sharing your spotlight with the people who were hurt by this situation, but thank you especially for that last part. It isn't said in any of the more viewed videos but I absolutely agree with everything you said here, and if Space follows the correct path, and eventually decides to attempt to return, I really hope the community will let him back in.

The end part is very well said. Everyone makes mistakes, wether they are small or big, and it usually teaches the person important lessons in life. With Space, i think that seeing this much negative reaction from everyone in the community has made him realize that lying to people is a big deal, especially to this big of an extent, and he will most likely learn to never do it again. I'm happy to see that at least one person is willing to let him a second chance to redeem himself.

@@pappi8338 he might feel way to bad and became suicidal, would you like it if u got death threats bro?
I think it's important to understand that there is a big difference between forgiving someone and trusting someone. To forgive someone is to stop feeling resentful, angry, whatever applies to context. To trust someone is another thing entirely. I say that we should always forgive people even if it means that we can't always trust them. Not forgiving people doesn't really help anyone, especially not the person who can't emotionally move on.
I appreciate you making this video Eric, thank you 🙏
I can’t believe we fell for it though, like the ‘I can’t react, I’m gonna cough so much’ thing😂
thanks for making this the ppl who got affected are going to finally get the recognition they deserve
Even though it was just you talking to a camera it was still an amazing video! Thanks for covering this Eric ☺️
I'm so incredibly glad that there are more people than just me who think Space would deserve a second chance. I don't want to justify his actions. However, all these people, especially on Twitter, shitting on him, even sending him death threats - I mean, it's okay to be upset and disappointed because you care about the game, and, of course, it's very disrespectful towards people that do all of that legitimately. But I'm convinced he's not some kind of evil sociopath that doesn't care about the effects of his actions towards others, like some people like to think about it. He accidentally slipped into this cheating thing. Meanwhile, he always showed signs of poor mental health (on his Twitter and also the sheer amount of quitting and coming back to the game demonstrating his inner conflict), perhaps low self-esteem or something, and that made him enjoy the attention he got. He felt valued. Like Sikky said in his video: He couldn't stop because it's a drug - to self-medicate his own shitty internal feelings. He also said multiple times that he pretty early on thought it was too late to quit lying already. This is a pattern that can be seen all around the world and I can totally understand him here.
He did irreparable damage to the community, however, I think he has some serious feelings of regret and shows signs of more maturity. Definitely more than most cheaters, that's for sure. Crisis, who has been Space's friend for a while, said he ultimately doesn't believe he's a bad human being.
We have hated on him enough, now let's wish him the best to get his life in order again. And, by all means, don't let us be pigheaded and never forget him. The last thing we should do is to overlook his mental state and unreasonably bash him anyways.

I was very angry when I found out about this. This has to be the worst hacking case EVER. I've never heard of anyone get away with this much before getting caught. For what Space has done, the damages are too big to be reverted. All this time, we're like 'he's the best player out there' when in fact, he was a hacker. It all fits together how he "beat" all those extreme demons so quick. When I heard he "beat" The Golden as his fifth demon, I was like "I'm not sure if this is legit". Well, it turned out to be correct. The part I'm most angry about is the fact he TOOK AWAY Trick's #1 demon achievement. Trick put over 200k attempts into verifying Firework, only just for Space to hack-verify Slaughterhouse and claim he's legit, but he never was. Slaughterhouse was at the #1 spot for 2 months WITHOUT being verified when Firework should've been at the top spot. Hopefully, this drama gets resolved soon. As a good GD player may say, hacking is not an option, the only way to get good is to put effort into becoming skilled.
I was shocked to see he was hacking. Its nice to see everyone giving credit to the people who were robbed. This was very well said.
The fact that Kolo [GD] realized 1 year before everyone else did
He had the last laugh
And people hated him for that.
Space apologizing can go both ways. It’s good that he admits his wrongdoings and can see all that he’s done, but it also shows that he didn’t care about what he was doing before, and now, all of a sudden, as he starts to get everything he built taken away from him, including his fans and the top spots on the leaderboard, *NOW* he cares. I just don’t see how that can be accounted for. I believe in second chances, too, but when it comes to people like Space who go for over 2 YEARS lying to the entire community, taking away not only fame and recognition, but ad revenue and other forms of profit from people who actually deserve it, I don’t think that can be justified.
A really sad situation, but a really wholesome thing to do, thanks man. Let's give them our support
22:22 Yeah but he only confessed because paqoe exposed him, and he still lied about hacking, he said he only hacked some levels, but he hacked almost all of his levels, and only made a final apology after he was completely exposed
No
No
No
Kolo exposed him first
But he got so much hate and nobody believed him
The mods didn't even check anything they just said: nah I don't think so
I feel so bad for him
Like if people believed him like he recognized him 2 years before paqoe's video
All of that wouldn't have happened
Slaughterhouse would've been verified by doggie in the first place
And everything would've changed
Maybe doggie beat tidal wave?
Maybe zoink wouldn't have been so good at the game
Maybe zoink is cheating (I really hope not)
I don't wan this madness to happen again
EVW, I really love your take, giving others second chances when they were genuinely and sorry and honest and even showing willingness for change.
The damage he did was so large and I understand why people just hate him over it but we do need to forgive, we can stay angry but also recognize it takes guts to apologize about it and change and try to make it up.
And no on deserves to be harassed and threatened.
You know it’s kinda crazy but when I first started playing GD I was almost a hacker. I discovered speed hacks and figured that I could hack my way through deadlocked and then go on from there. But I quickly shook it off because I knew it was wrong and I didn’t want to steal the accomplishment from myself. Fast forward to today and last week I beat Artificial Ascent as my new hardest and 100th demon. The feeling of accomplishment beats having a good looking profile any day. Don’t give up on your dreams. Push through and you will succeed.
Normally when people cheat in other competitive games with aimbot or whatever it doesn't matter too much since it isn't common, but when you're cheating to be the top ranked player, it's a waaaay different story... I feel so bad for everyone that had their achievements taken away from them but then again the apology was the only thing we could've asked for.
Totally agree with all your points in the video!
It’s insane how one person can change the outcome of so much.
Doggie treats Slaughterhouse like a little brother. He likes to beat him.

We really need to rewrite history just to give these true top players the recognition they deserve. Even if the damage by SpaceUK has already been done and all respect for him has basically been thrown out of the window, I don't care. Hard Machine should've been at the top spot, Firework should've been #1 for a lot longer, and everyone that was overshadowed by Space deserves a lot more attention than he ever did, especially nowadays. I might be repeating myself, but oh well, who cares at this point. I'm glad that you're making a video on this situation and speaking up against cheating in general. It's absolutely disgusting that people who do this can even live with themselves, especially if it causes harm to others. However, while I myself can't trust Space anymore, I can definitely understand you wanting to see the good in everyone and not wanting any hate or harassment sent towards anyone. I mean, I'm like this most of the time, and even if it's hard for me to do this here, I'm willing to try and see at least an ounce of remorse or regret in his apologies, even if they were forced or dragged out.
When you were talking about how people can redeem themselves and how you see the good in people, that touched me, and honestly I teared up a bit.
I've done things I'm really, really not proud of. I hate that I ever did them. And I'm trying to move on.
I always have fear that people will never see that, and hearing you talk about this makes me feel a lot better.
OMG! I feel like the entire GD community got nuked. This is insane. The first victors, fame, the top player spot, hardest level placements, the best player award in GD awards, and all of the other things that got affected by this. This community is never going to be the same after this whole situation.

In conclusion:
Cheating in singleplayer games = by all means, if you're the only one "affected" by it.
Cheating in multiplayer games (especially competitive ones) = big no-no.
You know what, we need to stop only celebrating the top player, the #1 level at any given time. if you verify a #2 and it's like 1% easier than the #1, you should be seriously proud.
Hell, it's 2023 and you beat bloodbath, that's a massive massive achievement.

a lot of people have surprisingly compared this to the Cyclic situation, and I'd just like to say that the past exposal of Cyclic isn't even remotely similar to this one. Space's scandal is far worse than Cyclic's: the guy lied to get money, an ego boost, and continuously steal the top 1 spot.
Not only does it suck that he stole the top 1 spots from his fellow players (some of them even friends), but it also sucks that his lies changed the demonlist, along with the fact that he HAD real skill. The guy jumped from DeCode to Windy Landscape to Leyak, and then threw all of that away to lie.
Are people allowed to be angry about this? Absolutely, they have every right to be. But does this mean they should attack him over it? Hell no. Attacking Space will not resolve or reverse anything that has happened in the past 2 years.
It's kind of insane how big this thing is, especially with the fact that every big RUclipsr in Geometry Dash is covering this.
The message positivity in this vid is super commendable. Thank you for being an awesome creator. Peace love and happiness
The worst thing is that space could’ve been a great player but he decided to pick the easy but bad way
You know what's sad? I took a break from GD for a year, and that year was when space got caught hacking. I learned that he hacked about 2 weeks ago when I came back and I was devastated. Space was my idol, I wanted to be good like him. But no, Space was just a dirty hacker and I thought for all that time that he was so good.

Cheating in competetive games is just sad.

even though what space did was wrong, he was the player that i looked up to for a very long time. i still can't fully accept the truth and what he did, its going to be hard to say goodbye since everything was so sudden. hes the reason why i play the game
The first person i feel the most bad for is Cursed. He had verified aod and sakupen circles which were both placed below slaughterhouse. Not only that, but he was ripped off of over 10 uk first victors on demonlist levels.
I can't imagine how Space must feel for losing most of his best friends. I know he did bad things but I hope he's doing alright.
@@user-wu7wu7pq9f hes a horrible person lmfao
@@Hirma_L bro he hacked a square game, it ain’t that deep

The thing is that he couldve been an ACTUAL prodigy if he tried, i mean getting 96% on the golden as one of your earlier demon is already prodigy level (considering the golden was higher on the demon list back then) but then he decided to just throw it all away
SpaceUK was so cool. But he had to do this to us…😢
Space verifying the golden a few days ago shows that he is still a really skilled player but threw it all away just because he thought "what's the worst that could happen"
I remember when noobas was exposed by themutetroll. Man, the community has changed its ways of exposure SO MUCH over the past 8 years!
that video is so nostalgic now
Everything mentioned in this video is very mature and nice, but I think it's pretty special that you want to search for forgiveness. It's making me second guess myself as to how I feel about Space moving forward
im just glad someone got exposed for being a hacker rather than being a pedo
Fr 😭
A few years ago I went through a phase where I wanted to prove myself to my friends. I was always a mobile player and was never the greatest at Minecraft. One day I decided, “here I’ll just dupe this one item it’s fine”. And then… “eh maybe another”. And it ruined the game. We all had full netherite and none of it was real. We all had to restart and my friend weren’t happy at me for it.
And this is just a mild thing. My friends were very disappointed and I was to. I had ruined the game. But I stopped. Now we’ll, I’m much better. I can beta the game solo. I can’t raid end cities. Everything is so much more enjoyable and everyone gets along.
Now hear everything EVW said. Imagine how much damage this REALLY CAUSED. That was a WORLD RECORD KINDA THING. TOP PLAYER EVER.
Please guys for the sake of yourself and your friends. NEVER, cheat.
i thought cyclic was bad but spaceuk?
watching spaces slaughterhouse reaction hits so different now :/
ngl I was so sad that Firework wasn't number 1, and hearing that SpaceUK hacked slaughterhouse makes it feel worse because I really liked Firework and that it being top 1 was stolen by a hacker is just very sad.
I still cannot believe SpaceUK did this lmao
Was not expecting a video from you. But im happy you made one
This came out unexpected. We all gave him our trust and support, till he ruined it.
It's so sad seeing a top player cheat his way out of things to hold a #1 spot in a game. Granted, I can understand how incredibly frustrating and difficult this game can be, but it doesnt give you the excuse to cheat, let alone get away with it for two years and lie to your friends and the community. I am really happy that these people who are actually top players are now getting the recognition they deserve. This hurts me as well as the community as a whole, and like fnm04 said, this damage is irreversible. As a GD fan for more than 8 or more years, this situation deeply hurts me. I hope this situation doesnt happen in the community again. Stay safe :)
I’ve had a suspicion for a long time that in a game that is difficult to detect cheating in that the top players or world records are mostly cheated. I’ve thought this since Riolu in trackmania got caught cheating, showing that many of that game’s world records were cheated. This is no longer a suspicion for me. This is a certainty.
I mean you cant just assume everyone’s cheating as you come off as a jealous sore loser. Some people are just really good, but some also do cheat, doesn’t mean we have to be 100% certain that every top person is a cheater.
@@PlatinumEditz If I was to assume that every top player cheated you’d be absolutely correct. However I said “mostly” in my comment, not completely. Meaning that I do in fact believe that there are legitimate top players. I’m not very certain about the cheater to genuine player ratio, but there are definitely 100% legitimate top level players out there. I do acknowledge that people are better than me at geometry dash for example hence I’m not a sore loser.
10:50 this moment feels like the race to beat cataclysm
Eric, this is why the community loves you. I appreciate the message at the end of the video. Forgiveness is important, and since the wound is fresh, a lot of people are not thinking about that. I'm glad you use your large audience (comprised heavily of young people) to spread positive messages like this. The hacking scandal sucks obviously, but what's done is done and there's nothing anybody can do to change that. The best we can do is to try to squeeze a bit of positivity out.
10:14 "Slaughterhouse is like a little brother to him. He really wanted to beat that level"
Literally my older brother every time i breathe
Well i wasn't inside the community for a while and i heard about Space UK that he was good at this game and now i hear that he was hacker 8 felt like Cyclic and Riot og drama 😅😂
Btw i'm sad for who lost a spot in this game because of Space UK doing this wrong action.
"slaughter house is like a little brother to him, he really wanted to beat that level..."
Eric is right dont send hate to spaceuk he is already depressed from the cheating
I had no clue! This is actually crazy how such a legend could fall so far
The world needs more people like Eric
Not gonna lie, when I first saw this in my recommended, I thought the "SpaceUK hacking situation" was about some satellite in space getting hacked and made world news or something, but then I realized it was the name of a user.
I'm sorry but that is too funny xd
i think he said he hacked one of them
Every gd RUclipsr has to make a vid about this topic. And you finally did it too.
yeah its good that they are tho. the more people who shed light on this the better.
@@clark_val Ik that’s why I typed the comment about it’s a good thing that RUclipsrs are making this drama seem dramatic even for people who don’t play gd.
Explains why his reaction to slaughterhouse was so mild he tried to just make us think it was a shock reaction
cant believe people were trying to compete with what turned out to be a cheater that whole time. Kind of reminds me about the incident with cyclic back in 2015 or 2016.
Poor kolo. Why does he not get any recognition. He was the first one to expose him and got Soo much hate .
The thing about his apology which is hard to forgive is that he didn't even consider doing so until he was exposed for it. And even after being exposed for it, it took him EVEN longer to reveal the extent of just how much he hacked. I agree that second chances are important but he was consistently lying to his friends and other community members for years, especially Crisis of which he knew that was being hurt because of it. I don't think this is a "second chance" situation because he had plenty of chances to come clean and let everyone know he was sorry himself.
Of course not forgiving someone doesn't translate to sending hate their way, it's better to gain what we can from the situation and move on.
