Maybe the cardboard cutouts that scared Librarian are a representation of a past explorer like the Nowie cutout was. Also, remember how the psa said "nothing is in the sky, that is not the sun"? 8:45 You ever tried using the paint tool to mark out doors you've opened and been through? The menu for that thing does has X and O markers (typically for tic-tac-to). I tend use an X for a dead end or non-functional door, O for somewhere I've been through, and the two overlapped for a path that I'm mostly certain I've explored fully (or somewhere I just don't want to go into for some reason). Mostly been using that for these specific maps because I know the map creator has in the past had doors open and close on their own. At any rate, even just one of the two markers would better help figure out where you have and have not been. Should be useful for more open maps like this one.
That's a good idea. It's a bit of a pain to use the menus in VR (and nearly impossible with engine PP enabled) but if it were set up beforehand it'd be as easy as selecting the tool gun.
