Modern books should never sell for so much. When a modern costs more than a blue chip silver age book, you know things are way out of whack.
This book will retain value. 27k still 3x what it was in 2020. Miles probably going to stay popular.

That high price for UF 4 is just crazy. I agree that high a price for a Modern Age book is just too much. Will there be a massive buyer's regret coming in the years to come? We will see.

A couple of years ago I had a shot at a Batman #251 7.5 signed by Adams, for under $700. SMH. I hate myself right now lol

I have an 8.5 of 251 - one of my prize books. But I regret selling my readers copy years ago for a mere $40 !
That 27K was a CBCS 9.8 I believe at a Heritage auction... and there was also an 18K for a CGC 9.6. Crack that CGC 9.6 and send it to CBCS for a 9.8 and an instant 9K increase imo.
UF4 drop shouldn't surprise. It's not junk, but it's modern-age...
Rhino .... People are sleeping on those MARVEL TALES reprints from the 1980's starting at #137. They have the EXACT same cover as the original copy. So many mega keys like first Goblin, Vulture, Doc Ock, Kraven, Scorpion, Sandman, Rhino, Kingpin, Electro ..... These books are going MUCH higher as the originals keep going up.
Still much more affordable than the originals. You wont get rich off of them unless you hoard and try and manipulate the market. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. They are fun to have for a collection but to try and make a market with them won't generate much. Also with the new tax rules only cash transactions will make you the mist money and unless you have time to get a booth at the cons or drive your comics to shops or peoples homes you won't make as much. Ebay and Amazon are tracking all sakes now.

Its unfortunate that movie/tvseries has caused hype and grossly over priced comics in the past ten years now. Everything is over priced! I long for the early days when all of us collectors relied on the Overstreet price guide.
Any modern age book that sale for 27gs is a win/win for the seller. Especially if they the original price of 2.99 plus tax !!!!

Someone was just at the right place at the right time for that UF4. If they bring Miles Morales to the MCU and do it right, that booked at a 9.8 may shoot pass 45k. It's not called the Modern Grail for nothing. If you have it, hold on to it.
I just won an eBay auction for an ASM 41- 7.5 for $840 I don't know if it was a fluke or if no one was paying attention but I'm not mad.
UF4 selling for $27K just means the seller was desperate and impatient.

While I love Key Collector Comics and even more so since it's latest update, to say it has accurate pricing is false. A decent range but by no means accurate.

Best place to buy comic books?
Comics are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. You can ask for whatever you want to attempt to sell it but unless you fine somebody with that kinda cash, it’s not happening. I have two very mint New Mutants 98. No CGC just a -pain old mint comic book. You think I could sell those? Most likely not.
Modern books are complete yo-yos when it comes to value-if you want one just be patient because none of them are truly rare -they always come up for sale

Two 9.8 copies sold on heritage signature auction, the CGC sold for 27k the cbcs sold for 18k

I'd rather spend the money that the Ultimate Fallout 4 Djurdjevic Variant is fetching on a Mid - High Grade Silver Age piece of Comic History. These modern keys r disproportionately priced.
Its FOMO. UF #4 is still overpriced. Everyone gets so frenzied because somehow they believe a movie makes a nook more valuable. It makes mo logical sense especially with books that are mot rare. With the new spider verse movie people will keep it at its omfkayed 20k price but as superhero movies continue to be churned out at ridiculous paces the quality will go down or people will just get bored and the comic book market will cool again . Collect what you like. Its hard to make a living off of comics on ebay mow with the new tax laws and unless your selling them at a con with cash transactions only you arebt going to make nearly as much money as even 2 years ago.
