This was almost 10 years ago but I remember when it first came out, this was to me the best cover on RUclips during its release. I would load it up on my PSP and it made me grow closer to a lot of friends because everybody liked it.
To this day I think the cinematography is amazing.

I love all Sam's stuff but I think I like him better in his 2011 songs. He sounds more raw and passionate about his music. The kind of voice that stops time and completely captivates you. Keep singing! Love Kurt too

In fact the original from Britney Spears was stolen from the song of Bellamy's Brothers in the seventies and they were shocked by this. So the original from Britney was not soo ''original'' after all :-p

This is what a cover should be. Not just a karaoke performance of the original song but putting your own twist of the song. They took the lyrics and left the heavy dance beat out.
I disagree. When you do a cover, you have to atleast understand the original work. This guy made a generic, boring love song from Britney's "cry-for-help". The emphasis is on the music video.

@@vi0leethe lyric of the song itself is not about "cry for help" .. the MV was and that's the difference. Lots of MV didn't represent what the song was about
@@Zhoulifer That's right, because some generic songwriter wrote it as a generic love song. But Britney made it her own. With the MV, the lyrics have double meaning: "escape the crowd" or "If I say I want your body now, would you hold it against me?" - so if she says she needs our help, would we do it? It was meant to be a boring love song, but Britney turned it over. It's not about what do you sing/perform, but how do you sing/perform it.

Can't stand the Britney Spears song, but I love a lot of Sam's covers so I figured I'd give this a try... it's amazing how he can turn such a trashy song into something this fantastic... :D
Britney just brings the party side out and he brings the soft and gentle side. Both versions are good in their own ways.
