@andrewpenry5 Ironically, despite what you may believe, it's often the most aggressive parents that coddle their own children
Yeah, parents should be teaching and guiding their kids towards being decent and productive members of society.
If you notice with the 22 year old that called the cops, the son was perfectly calm and reasonable. Parenting can go a long way to developing youe behavior, but there are factors outside of the parent's control. Your brain chemistry is another important factor. The friends you chose are another. Not all of these are issues of bad parenting.

They are delusional! The cops are working at that specific moment due to them, they are not their boss and most certainly will not tell them how it's going down. The 22 yo girl, don't know where she got all her delusions but the second cop's "wow" summarized it all pretty well.
Yeah and the ones who say this to cops.... I'm paying for with my tax dollars!!!! The welfare system amazes me!
Agreed, that's an ass statement to make, on the other hand the police officers ARE ordinary people who got a quick training with a few sleepovers, some work clothes and a gun, you know in nearly every other country you need to at least have a college degree to become a police officer, your force doesn't even require any form of completed education - and that's why too many cops don't seem to get that they aren't above the law, they're not making the law and they most definitely are not the ones to judge anyone preemptively and make decisions on that judgement.. They're members of the public chosen to do a job. They're nothing special and once the people suffering most from the thousands of armed God-complexes running around like they're in a video game, giving in to every last intrusive thought their pea-brains can generate. 🤦🏼♂️
Just feeling that the point of them just being "citizens with some extra rights, not all of them", hasn't been driven home into some country boys' wooden heads deeply enough. Driving a sports car instead of a truck is not an offence that warrants pulling over and so isn't having a valid British Passport and he knew it. Once I handed in my second ID, an American one, suddenly all was good and I could barely wish him a nice day before he was gone..

@@Sandman831 Ironic that people have no problems nowadays so they create their own problems and then complain
When I was young (late 90s-early 2000s) I remember whenever my mom and I went on vacation (we're from Europe), people were very kind and usually during takeoff there'd be "wooos" and after landing people would applaud.
It felt so wholesome.
Last vacation we went on, last year in August, is probably the first time I've had to deal with a mildly "unruly" passenger (that wasn't a crying child, or one kicking the back of my chair).
Mom said it was an Italian gentleman (I'd put him in probably his 50s), as she heard him and his company speaking, plus we were flying to Italy.

My sister has worked as both a ticket agent and flight attendant for several years. Alcohol is nearly always the catalyst for passenger problems. The stories she could tell, the saddest ones always involve drunk parents.
Airports and carriers should stop serving alcohol altogether. Just water, tea, coffee, soda, etc. and that's it. If/when passengers show up inebriated, just call the cops and have them removed from the premises.
