Had a terrifying game recently.
Entire enemy team centered around a Maus. Rolled it into objective. And just sat it there. Some very coordinated AA scared off air attacks and a small group of mbt protecting flanks.
Was a nightmare to fight. Team ran out of vehicles, before match end
The Maus works best when supported like that. It's very satisfying to play if your team is patient enough wait for you.

This, this is the best way to play in a Maus. Even more so if you have 2 or 3 Maus'
Kou Her It’s such a great feeling when you get a team that understands and works together like that. What I generally do when I want to play 7.7 Germany is I’ll take my lineup and use the Maus at 7.7 - 8.0 and use the Leopard at 8.3 - 8.7 because the whole point of the Maus is largely nullified there.

Sadly the map was kursk. And my lineup had been light recon with an M56, T92, M901 and air being a single AH-1G.
And my team was a bad mix of US and UK medium tanks. *sigh* I didn't even see it until I was one shot by the Maus (kill cam showed it flanked by a leopard 1 and an T64. After that it was a massacre.

Gaijin refuses to address the following topics:
BR decompression (1.0 spread to .7)
Tank only mode/limitations on CAS (something several RUclipsrs including dollarplays and dita have voiced support for)
The ever lasting ww2 vs far superior post war cannon debate, with Heatfs specifically designed to make a Maus obsolete facing a tiger ii, or APDS that can pen a tiger ii ufp at 1500m with a stabilizer AND rangefinder being the same br as a tiger ii, T-54 1947 at 7.7 with a woefully imadequete APHE round (for 7.7) and zero access to apds or heat, the list goes on.

Moderators, game masters and PR reps being, well frankly most are impatient temperamental assholes who dont understand half the rules they're supposed to enforce, if they even know what their jobs are to begin with.
Historical matchmaking event proved germany would not be OP as they had a significantly lower winrate despite much better vehicles, and everyone absolutely loved the event, no word on a permanent mode or event featuring historical BRs.

105mm L7 HEAT-FS is present as low as 7.7 with even better rounds being found at 6.3 in recoilless rifles.

i'm beginning to think the game doesn't take the shell drop into account when simulating the impact and impact's effects
My theory is that it IS taking it into account but showes it wrongfully, therefore making people complain alot whilst Gaijin explaining everything is alright.
Devs used a horribly inaccurate and unreliable code to calculate penetration on cannons due to a few cannons that lacked extensive testing, and you *think* the hitreg and damage modeling might be a bit unrealistic?

Phly there is a way to know the BR of a match before entering it. Just look at the SP it costs to bring in a vehicle. For a Medium tank or MBT, 150sp means full downtier, 130sp means next BR up, 120 or 110sp means almost full uptier, and 100sp means full BR uptier

Its simple, the vehicle its an excelent bait to attract players that are interested on specific vehicles that are based around ww2 era and such.
They dont want people that likes ww2, they only want people that wants to get top tier, so they hate the living hell out of the game on low tier since they couldnt give less fucks about a panther or a tiger, and pay to skip to top tier were the new reclaim its, the leopard 2a5, since it doesnt fix its problems at all in-game as it didnt just dissappeared from peoples accounts.
You can see how they back this statement as they are making obligatory to research all the vehicles ingame if you want to get to toptier, as they are forcefully removing all the possible skips that were ingame, such as getting a beiglepanzer, or putting almost mandatory tanks such as the rooikat behind the swingfires.
But nobody cares since they have managed to make people be more focushed on throwing shit at each other since they managed to create a "you agains us" by forcing america and germans to always face each other. Panther 2, tiger 105 removed? americans players will laught their asses since "the enemy" has less of the metagame tanks on the br, try to complain and they will say you are the bad guy, IS-6 nerfed exactly after sales? people will defend gaijin because "if they suffer its ok, they are the enemy". And thousand of other things that keep happening continuously.
Yet some of us just play, because we already wasted too much time playing and we are uncounciously afraid we played that much for nothing.
They said it's impossible to balance, at 7.3 and below it dominates while at 7.7 and above almost anything can penetrate it with heat-fs and apfsds.
@@theguardlorenzo5898 Rooikats... those things are yummy food for my Pz IIIM. by this point I don't care what I throw to battle, I'll get LOLPenned anyways by some weirdass tank(last time an Obj.279 oneshooted my Panther II from 4km... my scrren didn't even render the tank ffs). So instead, I play with a Panzer IIIM against an XM-1, BMP or pizza cars and show them their place in the tank food pyramid huehuehue

At the end, Phly mentions putting the Maus on a spaceship. During the Space Thunder event, some of my friends and I did a custom battle using the space map. Tanks could spawn on asteroids, so I took the Maus in. Was a good time.
