    Probably one of the best Funker has put out. Had been looking at AR500 but what has me sold is not the pounding it took without spalling, but the ease of putting it on and being able to maintain a high level of agility.

    there is little problem though, what i mean is, when the shooter is a bit angled below the armor the pieces eventually hits the carriers face because the rubber on top opens up after many shots accumulating in it, look 6:17, and i know he said that nothing got through that, but a thing is his not shooting it from an angle below, you may say i dont know what i am talking about but i want to see if im really wrong

    The point with the 50 Beowulf is that it's lightweight and packs a mean punch. As mentioned in the video, even though it doesn't go through the plate your body will sustain a lot of damage. In effect it will take you out of the fight. With the Beo you only need to aim at the legs and the resulting blood loss will in effect be a kill shot.

  • @bad45acp19
    @bad45acp19 9 лет назад

    I was on the fence. I wanted DKX but my SHTF budget doesn't allow for replacement every 7 years or X-rays when something happens. My only option for a civilian was steel. I'm glad to hear spalling isn't as large of a problem as I had expected. I just assumed I'd rather deal with tiny pieces of the bullet rather than the whole thing at once into my chest if there is spalling.

    Shooting ar500 with 9mm pistol rounds is like throwing rocks at a giant.

  • @BuffRANGE
    @BuffRANGE 9 лет назад

    That .338 Lapua :O I did see you picked a heavier load on it. 225gr probably would have went through.BFS (backface deformation) with a round like that being stopped would be interesting. I have a .338 RUM with some 225gr loads. I'll have to see if I can measure BFS when I'm out tomorrow.

    • @BuffRANGE
      @BuffRANGE 9 лет назад

      +bobwatters It's a good majority of it, but bullet construction plays a part, and so does mass to an extent. I've tested .243 Winchester that's rated over the plate, and even at 10 yards it was stopped. III+ has stopped .338RUM at 25yards (225gr), but it cracked the plate :)

    • @Wedelj
      @Wedelj 9 лет назад

      +Buffman I haven't heard of cracking a plate before, then again I've never seen a plate tested with a .338 RUM! I'm going to guess that only in very high energy loads does cracking become an issue.

    • @BuffRANGE
      @BuffRANGE 9 лет назад +1

      +Wedelj Yes when you stress it enough they crack. I've cracked Level III+ from AR500 Armor and Spartan Armor Systems. AR680 is up next. Obviously my tests are outside of the norm. If you check out my channel, I've tested quite a bit of armor.

    • @truebornsonofliberty554

For anybody that thinks that is a new idea or tactic (the reason I say that is I never see anybody practicing that method on any video's) the U.S. Army was teaching that tactic in SRT school back in the mid 1980"s.

    Ar500 is the hardness rating it's the same metal used for armor vehicals and rock crushers I got the 8/10 because I'm only 5'6" and the concealable carry 350$ for the kit it would have been less but the plate carrier cost 120$ they have cheaper ones honestly for one weeks paycheck you can be very protected I'm going to get the side plates next

    Zeros name is Jeco Biccelli , when he was 18 years old he was a military conscript joining the 5* battalion "El Alamein" of the Folgore parachutist brigade for one year , every male in Italy in those years had to join the military for 12 months and then kicked out by the italian Government for psychiatric problems.
    He was not in any "assault" battalion neither in any SpecOps unit , he has never been downrange , never had any SOF background .
    Until few years ago he was running a restaurant close to Perugia , he was the innkeeper , from then he started a new company named Spartan360° .
    He is using to shot all the week long , every week of every month , which makes of him a good shooter , with his fancy videos he is promoting his business selling his courses .

      I asked for instructor nothings background a couple of years ago and he replied in Spanglish something to the effect of "fuck you, I'm not telling you my background." I've trained with some units before and any instructor will gladly share his background to let you know he is the real deal or has real world experience. Not instructor nothing. He's a fraud and a midget, and a stunt double for ewoks in star wars.

    AR500 make excellent products that are in a lot of ways superior to other rifle plates. My only problem with Steel is that it is just too damn heavy to be practical in a lot of situations. And before anyone says I should start lifting more, yeah I know I should, we all should. I've never met a soldier who complained his kit was too light though.

    "If it's not comfortable, are you gonna wear it?"......Yup, if it is what was issued to me, because I am not stupid. Being alive is more important that being comfortable. I used to hate seeing other leaders who allowed their dudes to dump side plates because 'they're uncomfortable'. I hate the line of thinking where people assume you want to deal with their bleeding ass because they couldn't be bothered to be in a slight amount of discomfort.

    Not to bash instructor zero or anything, but that kill house with him flashing lights around the corner, anyone notices that they're just going to shoot through that plywood.

  • @Boots67
    @Boots67 6 лет назад

    By the time Zero makes his way through the house all the hostages are dead, and the shooters are out the back door about 2 blocks away.
    It’s easy to “tactfully” clear a house when you’re not hearing gun shots, and every time you hear one you know an innocent person just got killed.
    There’s a balance between your own safety, pie-ing corners, and reaching the threat in a fast manner.
    Myself, I tend to push on the side that puts me in danger. But I’d rather deal with a threat, and take the chance than innocent people dying. I signed up to fight bad guys, innocent civilians didn’t.

    I think that could be better, why "cut the pie" slowly at the start if you were making large scrapping foot movements. If you are going to be loud you may aswel be hard and fast because you have already lost the element of surprise. I practice that but if I'm moving like that I'm very aware of my feet.

      But I can't shoot for shit, I haven't really practiced, I only know movement.
