Identity is the ultimate stuff of politics since it poses the most fundamental question of all "Who do you think you are"? The experience of South Africa since 1994 is that "diversity" and "multi culturism" does not work since democracy only works within nations and not between them. There is no manifestation of philia in ANC dominated South Africa which is why it cannot survive in its present form.

I understand what you say, but why do blacks in the US like to call themselves 'Afro Americans' and not just 'Americans'? When in my own country, I am an Afrikaner, one of the many cultures in South Africa, but when I am abroad on holiday, I am always 'South African'. Everybody born here are 'South African' and your colour doesn't matter at all! Or at least that is how it is supposed to be.
Jy is seker nog nie lank hier nie.
Dankie Ernst. "U woord is die lamp wat my die weg wys,
die lig op my pad."- PS 119
Great message!!
Uitstekend, Ernst. Perfek gestel. Gedeel. Wonder net waarom Afrikaans nêrens gehoor of gesien word nie? Die leiers van Vlaandere, Suid-Tirool, Katalonië ens gebruik slegs hul eie tale in video's.
Ek maak dikels video's in Afrikaans.
@@thomasbisschoff7136 ek is tweetalig. Was n paar keer in Europa. Engels sal soms in onderskrifte of as n opsomming gebruik word.
Ernst, a lot of what you said aligns with the Bitcoin mindset. Is this something you have considered covering?
So interesting....the narrative....I believe that this is very accurate in depicting Afrikaner thought... regardless of the content...
Stereotypes are based on observation. Their existence is neither positive nor negative, they simply exist. I have no qualms with being stereotyped as a typical Afrikaner, because a typical Afrikaner is forged out of pure steel.
TROTS!!!!!!!
Pragtig opgesom.
South Africa is not "unravelling". South Africa is just becoming less isolated from the continent and less white, and more "black African" in character. It will thrive
😂is that why south Africa keeps getting worse it's a failing country
nah, tell me one African country that is a bastion of excellence? Then I will believe you.
@@kalaharikreef7371 Africa is the cradle of mankind, the home of the first human civilization. Africa has been dominated by Europe for 500 years. But the West is now clearly in decline, collapsed demographics, shrinking economies etc. Africa is on the rise, population growth, expanding economies etc. The 21st Century is the African Century. And SA is now part of Africa. SA will thrive. Watch this space.
@@eastafricanist9156 then you must start pulling up your socks. The West is only declining because of all the illegal immigrants from shitholes like Africa and The Middle East. Africa has only ever produced famine, rape, theft and murder.
Tell me, how did Africa do with the last project they inherited. In the same time that The Boer build excellent state entities, infrastructure and the 15th biggest economy at that time the Bantu managed collapsing state entities as well as infrastructure and society. Stealing from the taxpayer and then buying BMWs and fancy houses is not growing the economy. You must work for the government to be so arrogant to brag about something you never build. Only destroyed.
Anyway, I watched this space, we couldn’t agree less.
Identity is the ultimate stuff of politics since it poses the most fundamental question of all "Who do you think you are"? The experience of South Africa since 1994 is that "diversity" and "multi culturism" does not work since democracy only works within nations and not between them. The 21st century will see a worldwide rejection of these concepts and a return to the traditional nation state where a dominant national culture is prevalent. As Aristotle pointed out no State can survive without "philia", that sense of fellow citizenship that binds a society together in a spirit of harmony and cooperation. There is no manifestation of philia in ANC dominated South Africa which is why it cannot survive in its present form.
God bless this country 🔥🕊
Afrikaners are a beautiful nature, a beautiful culture .the problem is racism ..to even think that it was taught in churches ...😅
Respek Ernst!
We are South Africans i.e. Suid-Afrikaners Taal = Afrikaans. Tradisie.
Dankie vir praatjie. Groete
The only thing AFRICAN about you is the nationality the African government bestowed.

I live in the U.S., and everything that you are talking about is happening here. South Africa is a foreshadowing of the U.S. culture shift.
El stem saam.
Afrikaner = Boer = Vryeburger
Unique in your racism
Really? Is that your best effort? It sucks.
Definitie van een Afrikaner. Goed uiteengezet. Definieer een Nederlander. Koningin Maxima: "De Nederlander bestaat niet.".
Vertel die waarheid. Die verskil tussen Boer en Afrikaner.
4:47 is when I stopped watching the video. What do you mean apartheid’s intentions were noble? SMH
Mmmmmm.....Apartheid was a mistake ? Nee nee snotneuse....lees bietjie hier.....
"Nothing frightens the 'juice' more than perfect unity in others : the unity of feeling in a movement, in a people. That is why they will always be for 'Democracy' which has but one advantage, and that one for the nations enemy. For democracy will break up the unity and spirit of a people."

A stereotype held by Afrikaners - they think that all English speakers somehow look down on them. As an English speaker I find this very upsetting. I admire Afrikaners, my mother is an Afrikaner.
I grew up on my Oom’se farm in Rhodesia and I struggled with the attitude of Afrikaners toward me when I lived in the Transvaal.
John Vorster betrayed Rhodesia, let us not forget.
No wonder Israelis and Afrikaners get along.
The afrikaans are at the crossroads of their existence.
Roets while talkinh about his peoples challenges, totally ignores the hangover of aparthied, and its consequences.
He fails to understand that the oppression which was aparthied totally overshadowed whatever good that system did... And that good was only for the whites and crumbs for the blacks.
Unless he and the Afrikaans dont get this, they will not be able to help themselves.... And will end up finishing themselves
Clomp rugsteekers
Weereens net conjecture en gibberish ou Ernst.
