Kiera Van Gelder is one of my heroes. She speaks most poignantly about the BPD experience. I've been diagnosed as bipolar II, but suspect I have some borderline symptoms. Thank you, Kiera.

Thank you for being so open and honest about your past with BPD. It helps the rest of us know we are not alone, and we are not crazy.

Its like she's telling my story...same ages that certain things happened and everything...but my parent's never got me any help. No therapy. No doctors. Just abuse. I ran away at 15.

I have been in therapy for 10 years and for the past 2 years approx I have been in recovery/remission. My only therapist has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and it’s time to say goodbye. I’m determined to stay well.

That was a great talk on the subject, indeed the most personal from a professional perspective.

BPD is a complex problem. I read Kiera's book which I think is a great portion of helpful information for those who suffer and professionals. Thank you!

Yes. Great book. And so much recognition! I am a male borderliner. Why is it so hard to find out one has borderline?

Who is this speaker? I'd like to read or watch more from her, if possible. This is a very powerful topic.

Yooo this is fuckin wild. Im 18 years old and havent been diagnosed with bpd or anything bc im afraid of psychiatry and the mental health system that is in place. When she said there is no story of anybody getting better shes right. People with this disorder even make up fake identitys on support group websites just so they wont be identifiable. I dont know what the fuck to do but I know I need help but how the fuck am I supposed to do it when there is no definitive guideline on how to conquer? Looking at these videos of others with bpd that actually are living productive I guess is a good start.

Maybe read her book and if you can relate to her moods in it and can identify with how it makes you feel then explore the treatments she does in her book. It's called Buddha and the borderline

There's a prevalent background noise. You should be able great rid of this when simply and easily using a FREE to download program called Audacity :)

If you're single wait a few dates into a relationship. Avoid painting an awful picture of your current self. Everyone "flaws" people know and expect this. People will make an effort understand.

Untrue, and harmful stigmatization for those struggling with this disorder.
      Please take your bigotry elsewhere.
